Harefield is an ideal property for a family holiday in Kilcar, a 15 minute walk from the village centre. It is a spacious, well-appointed house with good parking and views.

A lovely setting

Would have no problem recommending Harefield Holiday Home to anyone. Great facilities. Perfect for family. Chair pads on the kitchen chairs were very lumpy!

Great spot

Lovely house and clean, good central point for exploring the area. Walkable into the village bit of a hill on the way back but a great setting with fabulous views.

Felt like home – spacious, clean, and close to the sea!

Harefield cottage was perfect : very spacious, spotlessly clean, and ideally located just a short walk from the ocean. Our host, Noreen, was extremely responsive and helpful whenever we needed anything. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Lovely house!

Great house, great location, perfect for our family of 7. Noreen was fantastic and even stopped by to check that we had no questions/problems. It was great talking with her, and we won't hesitate to book this house on our next trip!

Lovely holiday home

Clean and quiet Maybe just the TV instead of having tv box or dvd player why not smart tv instead so its easy to connect via internet to watch movies etc.

Stay in Harefield

Lovely house and setting, cant complain about anything. Having toys, stair-gate, high chair available for the baby were very handy. An yes there are lots of hares around.

Fantastic holiday home

A really lovely house. All the accommodation is exactly as described and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was spotless. Good size bedrooms, comfy beds and plenty of bathrooms. Very well equipped kitchen. Ten minute walk to the shop, although an uphill walk back! We had a great holiday here and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing break. Make all showers electric so we don't need to remember to turn the immersion heater on & off.

Beautiful surroundings

Beautiful surroundings. Nice rooms. Noreen was very nice and came quickly when we needed help. Make sure that are glasses and plates for the number of people the house will hold. There were not 2 glasses that were identical and several of the plats had big cracks. Also, the frying pannwas a disaster. I know ot is late in the season, but still…

Ich fliege mittlerweile seit 20 Jahren nach Irland und in der ganzen Zeit habe ich erst ein einziges Mal ein Haus schlecht bewerten müssen. Diesesmal wird es leider das zweite Mal sein. Aber nun zuerst zu den guten Dingen, die ich natürlich auch gerne bewerten möchte. Der telefonische Kontakt mit Noreen war freundlich. Die Lage des Hauses ist ein absoluter Traum. Strände und Berge sind sehr gut und schnell zu Fuss zu erreichen. Nun aber zum Haus selbst. Ich hatte dieses Haus mit zwei Freundinnen gemietet. Die guten Bewertungen kann ich im Nachhinein absolut nicht verstehen und nicht bestätigen. Sämtliche Rückenlehnen der Betten waren locker und schlugen bei jeder Bewegung gegen die Wand. Die Matratzen waren teilweise durchgelegen. Das Badezimmer im oberen Stock hatte einen penetranten Geruch, der die ganze Woche anhielt. Leider konnte man dort auch nicht das Fenster zum lüften öffnen, weil es defekt war. Ebenfalls schien die Heizung im oberen Badezimmer selbst zu bestimmen, wann sie warm werden wollte und wann nicht. Meistens war letzteres der Fall. Beide Sessel in der Küche hatten unter der Sitzauflage grosse Löcher in der Sitzfläche und gehören auf den Müll!Es gab keinerlei Grundausstattung an Putzutensilien, die Anzahl vom Besteck war nicht genügend.Die Couch im Wohnzimmer war durchgesessen.Was die Sauberkeit betrifft ist noch viel Luft nach oben.Das man Handtücher noch dazu buchen musste, halte ich fast für eine Unverschämtheit in dieser Preiskategorie.

Harefield May 2022 Hols

Great house in fab location, easy walk to the pubs & shops. Great for access to explore a lot of Donegal. Impress on someone to do lunch / evening meals possibly in the pubs in Kilcar.

Rural retreat

It's very peaceful in Harefield. The accommodation is spotless and spacious. Checking is easy and Noreen is always available to help with any questions. Netflix would be a wonderful addition.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harefield Holiday Home

The house was much larger than expected. Looked smaller from the outside but was far bigger inside. My only comment would be that in the two large bedrooms upstairs they could both fit at least a King size bed. The double beds were too small for my husband and I so we slept in two rooms. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Great house for our young family.

Great house, well layed, perfect for our young family. The house is a 2 minute drive from beaches, walks and Kilcar village. Immersion was broken, but it made little difference for us.

Lovely Stay

Provided a lovely base for our first trip to Donegal. House was more than adequate. Plenty of room and excellent facilities. Only 1.25km walk to Kilcar. Lovely view out the back and very quiet location. Excellent beaches only 5 mins drive away. Would recommend. There was WiFi in the house but it struggled with 3 teenaged boys streaming. Other than that it was ok.
