About this property

Lake Roosevelt Custom-built, WATER-FRONT log home # You won't want to leave

Gorgeous log cabin on the shores of Lake Roosevelt. Imagine your celebrations on the 1200 sq. ft. deck with full lake views and no neighbors in sight. Walk down to secluded sandy beach to enjoy the water. Mountain biking, kayaking and hiking are all right there. Bring your toys and enjoy water sports of the finest.

Kitchen has a gas stove and two fridges and is the center of all activity. Nice wood stove heats the place beautifully, wood provided. Well appointed with Native American art, antiques and family heirlooms. You will feel like you're in another world!

This peaceful and remote property is off the grid (without city services), encouraging old time face- to-face-connections. Dominoes, bridge, backgammon, Sequence, Rummy and other games are available with a horse- shoe pit and bird-watching outside.
Master bedroom with bath downstairs and guest room with second bathroom is also on the main floor. Upstairs in the loft is a second living room that includes a queen bed and sofa bed and a separate room with a queen bed and 3 murphy beds.

We are a SMOKE-FREE and PET-FREE property.

The nearby towns of Creston and Wilbur offer golf and
a museum, rural enjoyment, restaurants and some limited shopping.
Visiting the Grand Coulee Dam visitor center is an educational treat.
The favorite activity is sitting on the deck or the beach reading or staring at the view.

About the host

Hosted by Christine Torrison Mackay

Host profile image
Ed and Marlene Torrison, with the help of family and friends, built this cabin by hand. It took 10 years to complete this labor of love. It started with love of the area, finding a "spot" and searching out it's owner to see if we could buy it. Ed is a retired dentist with a love of wildlife, fishing and hunting. Marlene helped run the family businesses and raised their 8 kids, and they now have 29 grands and greats. Both Ed and Marlene love international scuba diving and look forward to sharing their family cabin with you.
