About this property

Hot tub lodge with stunning view

This stunning property is situated amongst the woods on the hillsides above Loch Etive, with stunning views to Ben Cruachan. It is close to the village of Taynuilt, a 20-minute walk away offering the convenience of shops, hotel, café and a golf course. Perfect for either a relaxing family holiday or as a base for nature-lovers, this property is quiet and rural, yet conveniently close to the A85 for easy access to Argyll attractions.

Located on the edge of a native woodland, it is a lovingly furnished highland lodge, offering plenty of space with woodland and mountain views from every window. The lodge is surrounded by private decking with a private hot tub, the perfect place to relax in the crisp mountain air and enjoy the stunning views. It can accommodate a larger family or group across four bedrooms, all with beautiful views and served by three luxury bathrooms.

There are two lodges in total sitting on 50 acres of natural land with a private loch. They are situated next to each other, yet have plenty of privacy and their own private hot tub each.

Statement from the interior designer:
Using the beauty and simplicity of the natural surroundings the interior design of the Lodge is designed with comfort and effortless style in mind. From tree bark, timber, natural weaves and woven textures to marquetry inlaid wood design to the everchanging colours of the landscape as contrasting pop of colour. These interiors allow the outside-in! The perfect spaces to get away from it all!

Taynuilt is a busy little village with great transport connections and has a popular village pub serving food, a 9-hole golf course and a sports ground. It also has a general store, post office, butchers, hairdressers, café, and a railway station. There are two pebble beaches on nearby Loch Etive, and within the village is historic Bonawe Iron Furnace and Cruachan. The Hollow Mountain visitor centre is 5 miles away and is sure to make for a fun day out. Here you are close to the beautiful inland Loch Awe, which offers fishing, boating and fantastic forestry walks through nearby Glen Nant and Dalavich.

From here you can also catch a short ferry trip to one of the Inner Hebrides, including Mull, Staffa and Iona. Within an hour’s drive are ruined castles, beautiful gardens, and sites of historical interest including Dunstaffnage Castle and Castle Stalker to the North or Inveraray to the South where you can visit Inveraray Castle and Jail and Auchindrain Museum. Had an amazing stay here. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed! Super clean, well equipped and very spacious. Host was very attentive and responsive to queries. The only thing I’d say (which isn’t even a negative) but didn’t impact negatively on our stay would be having it more secure to allow dogs to go out slide door within living room area to the back without worrying they’d wander off. Will definitely return. We had an amazing Christmas here and made wonderful memories.

Peaceful weekend
Due to the weather we unfortunately didn’t arrive until late Friday however the lodge was absolutely beautiful and cosy for weekend. It was spacious and clean which is ideal as we spent most our weekend there due to how horrible the weather was outside. We would definitely love to stay again.
