The most relaxing, welcoming stay in a long time.

The location, and accommodation was second to none. Very quiet, and pretty views from our room, and once the windows were closed even quieter. The hosts were very welcoming and gave good information, and the food was amazing.

Wonderful hosts and great location

We had a short stay with Debbie and her husband. They were great hosts. The room was spacious and the location was central and within 20 mins of shops and wookie hole, sights and restaurants. Breakfast was great..thanks for a lovely last minute holiday to Cheddar .

Relaxing stay with a friendly welcome

We had a great stay, the rooms were large and comfortable. The location was great for exploring Somerset and we all enjoyed the games room. Double Gate farm is set in a peaceful location and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts were also really tasty. Thank you to Debbie and family for making our stay extra pleasant.

Lovely, friendly, welcome

We chose the location based on being close to the Somerset levels for walking and wildlife. We were welcomed like long lost friends and our stay was very enjoyable. There is a fantastic pub almost next door (table booking essential) but we didn't hear any noise despite there being live entertainment on.

An amazing place to stay. A hidden gem.

Can't fault anything. Everything from the initial booking, to arriving, staying, and the feeling after we left. AMAZING. Location :- peaceful and jaw dropping being right on top of the river at end of balcony/decking. Service & food :- EPIC. ALL home cooked, & especially as dad made the most amazing pancakes for b'fast. Heaven for me. Accommodation:- Absolutely PERFECT. Couldn't ask for more. Super clean & tidy. Better than most 4* hotels. Very highly recommend. Will be hiong back, very soon.
