Our family of 5 stayed in "The Barn" and it was very spacious and incredibly comfortable. The location was great! Very peaceful and an easy drive to Belfast. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!
The place is very clean and the owners are very nice and helpful when available. I was supposed to receive check in details before I arrived but I never got them. The owner said they sent them so I put it down to a failure in modern communication technology. It happens.
You are out in the countryside and yet Belfast is a very short drive away so you get the best of both worlds.
A large Sainsbury's only a short drive away and some very good pubs and restaurants too.
The only negatives are that if there are enough of you staying to accommodate all the sleeping capacity, the lounge and kitchen area is a little bit small for that many people, especially if you're all adults. Also the laundry being in the main house and needing someone there to access it, which often there wasn't, was a bit of an inconvenience. Swings and roundabouts though as, when someone eventually answered the door after numerous attempts, the housekeeper did most of the work for us and was very helpful and friendly.
As described. Cute and quaint. Only minor issues were that the main bedroom toilet seat was missing a bolt or needed to be tightened because it slides when a person sits down or stands up, the main bedroom shower would drain very slowly so it left us standing in 2-3 inches of dirty water when showering and the home is near a busy highway so lots of road noise if sitting outside. Otherwise very nice stay.
