Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting. The cottage is overlooking the tarn with stunning views surrounded by wildlife. It is clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing break.Peaceful and yet not far from great pubs snd restaurants.Such a good place to stay that we will return.
Our cottage stay was just what we needed and exceeded our expectations. The location is so lovely and peaceful. Walks from the door step and views across the Tarn made they stay even more special. The property was immaculate and well maintained. We wished we could have stayed longer, and hope to book again next year.

Thank you for a 5* review of Tarn End 5, we have to agree the view really is lovely. We hope we can welcome you back again in the future.
This was exactly what we needed after a busy few months. The location is idlyic overlooking Talkin Tarn with a lovely walk around the lake right from the door. Cumbrian Cottage Holidays staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions prior to booking. David, the owner, also popped by to make sure everything was OK for us. A 5 star property with 5 star service. Can't wait to return again now we have found our little peace of heaven.
The property was just as described and as seen in the pictures. It was very well curated and clean with all the amenities you needed. It was a pleasure to look out of the window and see the lake right there and be able to walk and run from the door. We had come to relax, bike, walk some of Hadrian's wall, explore the area and to do lake swimming. (Unfortunately the country park had not yet opened the lake for this... however the water quality was not great for swimming if you are considering this as an option). David, the owner was responsive to an issue we had while we were there. One negative was the lack of communication between VRBO and the owners ( they had not received the information we had requested on our vrbo booking.) Other than that, overall the property was lovely and a pleasure to stay in and we had a great time away.
