Family vacation

We had an absolutely fantastic time. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Before you get to the house you have to pass an abandoned resort. However once you arrive your experience begins. We had beautiful walks on the beach. We lit fireworks one night. Another night we had wine at the outside fire pit. We were so very satisfied with the house , security and property manager. Thank you

Race weekend

Great house. 3 full suites with an extra room. We paid for the pool/hot tub and it was worth every penny.

Photos don't do it justice

Amazing stay--bring food and plan on staying put for an incredibly relaxing, inspiring trip. Staying in June meant few to no one on the beach, feeling like a many miles-long private beach home. Ants were invading the space while we stayed, but the property does have fumigation efforts. We would return here in a heartbeat, highly recommend!

Beach house in Ensenada

The beach house was amazing. The house is bigger than it looks. The location is perfect. The house has beautiful view of the beach from the kitchen, livingroom & master bedroom. Its 3 bathroom made it easy for the whole family to get ready when we headed into town. The kids loved the fire pit & easy access to the beach. The washer & dryer was a life saver since we have 5 kids (we washed our towels several times). House is very spacious & well maintained. We all enjoyed staying at the beach house, we will definitely come back. I recommend this house. You won't regret it.

Ants everywhere

The house was built in a very nice community at one time, but the community is now very run down. There are several abandoned houses and even an abandoned hotel. The first impression of the house was great, but there were ants everywhere. I had to leave everything in my car and wash it before I brought it in so that I didn't bring them in. Other reviewers are accurate in the amount of paper products. There was only one roll in each bathroom. Not nearly enough when you have 7 people. There was nothing extra in the kitchen like salt, pepper, coffee. While they do have pots and pans, If you are going to cook, beware that you will need to bring seasoning and oil with you. The house was very spacious and the view was amazing. The guards are very nice and helpful. The hot springs are most definitely more than 1/4 mile and so hot that as you walk on the beach toward the water, you burn your feet. Lastly, one of the blankets and a sheet had blood on it. It was still bright red like it had not been washed.

Amazing House

First I will say the house is amazing. Even better then the pictures. I love the outdoor space as well. Love the court yard in the front and the fire pit and spa/pool in the back. The community is nice and safe. We have been coming to Mexico for the past 10 years with our kids so that's really never a concern for us but I know others wonder. This house is almost at the end of the spit, so the water isn't very warm on this end. We have stayed at the other end closer to the springs and the ocean water is very warm on that end. The house seemed well stocked with everything from the kitchen to linens (except toilet paper) The grill is gas so that was nice. Having the washing machine and dryer was a plus. Beds are comfortable. I don't like to nit pick about small things but I think its important for other renters to just be aware of. First bring extra toilet paper and paper towels. They do provide a roll in each bathroom. But if your there longer than a 4 or 5 days you will run out in at least one of the bathrooms. Also the only remote that worked was in the main family room. I think all the batteries were dead in all the other remotes. Dishwasher was not working while we were there. My biggest complaint would be of course about the spa/pool. In the description of the house it does mention about the extra charge for heating the spa. But says you can use it as a pool if you don't want to heat it. Great, that sounds wonderful. What it doesn't mention is that if there is no water in the spa and if you want to use it as a pool it will cost you an additional $50.00 to fill it and $10 a day to clean it. Just be aware of the additional charges. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay. I would rent again in this community.

The Best Beach House

We have stayed here about three times. We adore this house. It is very spacious and very well maintained. Our children enjoy the beach and the jacuzzi. The service people and owner are very helpful. We love the tranquility and peace this house provides. Nice great get away. We love that it is away from the busy city. We always have felt very safe here. This house is a jewel!

Perfect!

The house is on a remote strip of land surrounded either side by water. It has been my experience that the pictures of vacation rentals typically make them appear better than they are, in this case it was the opposite. The huge windows of the living room look out directly onto an abandoned beach. We were a group of three couples and the set up of the house was perfect with each bathroom/bedroom combo creating a series of autonomous units. Loads of fun stuff to do nearby. Wine country is a must (especially the super chic Endemico). There are thermal springs a brief walk down the beach that you can access at low tide (park at the La Jolla Campground and bring a shovel). Ensenada has great nightlife and at La Bufadora you can discover a wonderfully kitsch tourist town leading up to the blow hole. Lots of very fun stuff to do in the area. As of writing (September 17th, 2013) the road leading to the property from the 1, the 23, was undergoing construction and was in poor shape. I drove my Prius which took some hits on the unpaved road (including a slow flat). Be prepared with with your transport. The dryer, internet connection, and a couple of other small things created issues during the stay but after we emailed management they werfe fixed promptly. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Theft

We arrived on the 6th of august 2013. On the 7th we went into town and when we arrived back at the house 3 items had been stolen. My husbands cell phone, an iPod and a LED flashllight. We did find a door that we could of accidentally left unlocked I reported it to the security office but wasn't much they could do. Please take any valuables with you when you venture out. Other then that the house was beautiful!! Kind of poorly stocked take any toilet paper and paper towels you'll need to stay longer then two days. Also spices to cook with. Overall, I would rent there again.

beautiful property on gorgeous beach, but some real minuses

Here's the good part: the house is beautiful, spacious, and well-designed, with a large kitchen and nice bathrooms. The beach is gorgeous, and at least during the winter you have it to yourself most of the time. The bad part involves the jacuzzi, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay there. The listing should be more specific and accurate about the extra charges for heating the jacuzzi. They first told us it would be one amount, but after we arrived they informed us that the charge would only cover 8 hours (i.e., a single evening, as it takes 5 or so hours to heat the water). To have had it for the week would have added enormously to the cost of our stay. When we complained, they refunded the original jacuzzi fee, but it was disappointing not to be able to use the jacuzzi over the course of the week. There were a few other problems, as well: the house was freezing when we arrived, and one zone of the heating system didn't work the first night, so half of the house was quite cold that night. Also, most of the cookware/dishware needed to be rewashed, and some of it wasn't in great shape. Our stay was in Dec/Jan 2012/13. If the management made a few improvements the house would be wonderful.

one of a kind

My wife and I occupied this beachfront hacienda from December 29, 2010 to January 29, 2011, and we can honestly say we cannot imagine a better way to usher in a New Year. Exquisite is the word for this splendid house and its environs. Every day was like warm springtime in the East, where we come from - a daytime sky of bright sunshine in an azure sky, the sunsets breathtaking, the night skies of panorama of low-lying stars. Impeccable service was maintened by the operating office that is situated in the area. Our lunches were invariably in the intimate courtyard where the hummingbirds also dined on nectar from the flowers that surrounded us. Everything from kitchen to bedrooms to fireplaces with their blazes performed perfectly. Every day we enjoyed our walks along the wide sand beach - sand pipers, dolphins, pelicans and sea lions accompanying us The house is in a placid area with complete security so that was never a concern. We will assuredly return again and again for as long as we can. We have been to a wide variety of vacation places but nothing compares to this.
