I was originally asked to convert this property into a rental home and realised its potential was being completely wasted.
The rooms are very large and offer a lot of breathing space and utility.
It was the perfect location for exploring Lancashire and the smaller Lancashire hills and towns, which gave you the small town experience in a more modern house with more than ample free parking.
Because of where its located, it offered great value for buying a lot of home on a tight budget and although located in a more rural area it simply had everything I couldn't have afforded elsewhere.
It overlooks Marsden golf course at it's rear and Pendle Hill at it's front... that alone was its WOW factor and I had to buy it.....so I did!
The local park, (Marsden Park) is at the end of the avenue, you just take the dogs out and relax. Its just a short 5 minute drive to the nearest shopping centre, or if you want to do nothing at all, just order in via Uber eats and a choice of local restaurants will bring your dinner or lunch to you.
If you've never been to Marsden park, compared to the city, its absolutely beautiful and a credit to the local authority.
I love going to the house and staying there and as soon as a guest has left, a professional cleaning crew comes in and disinfects, cleans the house then changes all the towels and linen.
I installed a flat screen Tv in the living room, but I enjoy getting out more, you can drive along the back hills into Yorkshire, which is a bit scary at first trying to avoid the sheep, so just take your time or visit more than once.
Its got easy access to the Motorway and is a bike ride all the way down the road to Nelson town centre, but takes a lot of pedal power getting back up that hill, so make sure your legs work!
The rear garden and summer house still require landscaping, but that's currently suspended until 2022 due to Covid restrictions.
Enjoy a unique experience in Lancashire that's roomy, clean and pet friendly.
