Beautiful lodge in lovely, tranquil surroundings and located in a quaint village. A perfect few days away. Lodge is very cute but doesn’t fall short on what it offers… it has everything you need for a lovely little break.

Spotless and comfortable. Well equipped, just need a butter knife as the steak knives destroy your toast Seriously though there is all you need, in our case a torch most useful for the power cut to the village and a colander most useful for imaging the total eclipse on the side of the lodge!

Perfect weekend escape

Lovely little lodge, comfortable and private. Spotlessly clean and with lots of walks on our doorstep. Near to local attractions and set in lovely grounds.

Peaceful location for relaxation

Great Swiss style chalet with excellent facilities. Good kitchen, shower and bed. Quiet setting with plenty of wildlife to observe in the daytime. Great location for exploring Suffolk and further.

A real tonic!

Such a great stay in this beautiful accommodation. Everything we needed, super clean, gorgeous surroundings and many places of interest within easy reach. We have stayed at the lodge before and will definitely return - thank you!

Comfortable Cabin in Suffolk on Edge of pretty little village

Quiet, good sized cabin set in field next to owners house on the edge of a pretty little village. Cabin had everything we needed for our short stay. Good location for exploring the region and coast.

Tranquil lodge in a lovely village setting

Good value lodge in a quaint village in Suffolk, very clean and very well presented lovely area for walking. Would definitely recommend if you like to get away from it all, Grahame makes a great host. Will be back!

Peaceful, restful stay

After a two week cruise across the Atlantic, we wanted to explore the East Anglia area. We couldn’t have found a nicer, peaceful place to stay. The tiny charming town of Coddenham is a real treat. Grahm was a most enjoyable, helpful host. The Lodge has all of the modern amenities. I highly recommend a stay.

Cosy & Warm chalet in Suffolk

We had a nice weekend break at Squirrel. We found it clean and well equipped with appliances for self catering, which is what we were looking for. The chalet heating was very efficient with thermostats for each room which made it very cosy, as the weather was very chilly on our 3 day stay.

Perfect Host

Grahame is an outstanding host who always ensures that guests are happy. The accommodation is well designed, comfortable and feels like home. The location in Coddenham is quiet and beautiful, with easy access to many footpaths, the Community Shop, Community Center and surrounding towns and villages. We never want to leave.

Great return

We have stayed in Grahame's two lodges before. They are excellent and really well thought out properties for couples. The location on the edge of a small village is excellent. I would add that driving around the narrow lanes of Suffolk is a lesson in courtesy, patience and occasionally reversing. It's not a problem, in fact it's a refreshing change just smile and wave and allow yourself more time. You came here for a change of pace so relax and enjoy.

Propert looks ok from outside. Its,extremely basic,just the b are necessities, Arms of Sofa are grubby, and the toilet brush needs replacing,

A Lovely Getaway

A wonderfully warm a friendly lodge. From inside you wouldn't know the building was made of wood. Lovely presentation with lots of pictures and ornaments to give a homely feel. Plenty of cooking equipment, cutlery etc. all in good order. All in all would highly recommend as a base for exploring the area

Very helpful to be able to stay on Squirrel while our house was having work done. We were able to go home each day to check what was needed to be done Family members were allowed to visit for lunch which was most kind

Quiet, excellent accommodation.

A very clean, well quipped chalet set in a quiet village location offering good access to popular coastal, NT and village and town attractions. Would highly recommend and would stay there again ourselves if travelling in that location in the future.
