Lieber Gast, es tut mir sehr leid, dass Sie nicht vollkommen zufrieden waren, vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass wir stets unser Bestes gegeben haben, um Ihnen ihre Wünsche umgehend zu erfüllen. Womöglich lagen die Probleme an der Sprachbarriere, verursacht dadurch, dass Sie weder englisch noch Spanish sprechen und daher nicht persönlich mit mir in Kontakt treten konnten bzw. wollten. Um diesem Problem Abhilfe zu verschaffen, habe ich extra für Sie und ihr Wohlbefinden unsere deutschsprachige Natalie eingeschaltet, damit sie als Art Vermittlerin helfend und übersetzend an ihrer Seite stehen kann. Oft haben Sie Kontakt mit ihr aufgenommen. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass Sie dies beibehalten hätten, sodass wir gemeinsam Unstimmigkeiten aus den Weg räumen hätten können. Im Nachhinein ist es leider zu spät. Dennoch möchte ich ihre Kritikpunkte nicht unkommentiert lassen und hierzu Stellung beziehen: • Auf unserer Internetseite gibt es eine Wegbeschreibung und überdies habe ich Ihnen eine Karte als Hilfsmittel gesendet. Um Ihnen ihre Ankunft zu erleichtern und die Suche abzukürzen, habe ich Rafael und Natalie beauftragt, Sie an einer Tankstelle abzuholen und mit Ihnen gemeinsam zu ihrem Feriendomizil zu fahren und Ihnen den Weg zu zeigen. Aufgrund einer Flugverspätung warteten diese – mit einem Welcome-Paket in der Hand - drei Stunden, um Ihnen den Einstieg in ihren Urlaub zu verschönern. • Rafael hat Ihnen zwei Mal den Fernseher und die Programme gezeigt. Es gibt, wenn auch nicht viele, deutschsprachige Programme. Da Sie laut eigener Aussage jedoch nur Nachrichten sehen wollen und es „HR“, ihren hessischen Heimatsender gab, sagten Sie, dass dies durchaus ausreichend ist. 5 Wochen ohne TV ist daher, bitte verzeihen Sie, so nicht korrekt und daher auch kein „Qualitätsverlust“. • Es befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer und zwei Badezimmer im oberen Stockwerk und zwei Schlafzimmer sowie ein Badezimmer im Souterrain. Bis dato hat sich noch kein Urlauber beschwert, im „Keller“ schlafen zu müssen. Schade, dass Sie dies tun, bedenkt man, dass bis auf eine Woche – in der ein Zusatzgast zu Besuch war – lediglich das obere Stockwerk von Ihnen bewohnt wurde und das Souterrain somit unbenutzt war. • Die Reinigung des Pools erfolgt stets einmal pro Woche. Dies wäre auch ohne Aufforderung und Erinnerungsanruf erfolgt, gerne jedoch auch – wie von Ihnen gewünscht – einen Tag früher, an Tag 6. • Wenn Sie gewünscht hätten, dass der Außenbereich gekehrt wird, hätten Sie dies gerne Natalie, oder, während der Poolreinigung, Rafael persönlich sagen können. Er hätte dies umgehend erledigt, wie auch die anderen an ihn herangetragenen Wünsche wie das Erklären der Funktion der Heizung, das Heizen des Pools, die umgehende Reparatur einer Toilette, bei der es nur dem Schließen eines Klickverschlusses bedurfte, dem Erklären des Tresors, dem Kauf einer größeren Kaffeemaschine sowie dem Bereitstellen neuer Sektgläser. Auch als aufgrund eines Wasserrohrbruchs – unverschuldet und außerhalb des Ferienhauses auf der Straße – das Wasser ausfiel, wurde umgehend reagiert. All ihre Wünsche wurden somit meines Erachtens rasch erfüllt und mithilfe von Natalie an Rafael und mich herangetragen, sodass wir schnellstmöglich handeln konnten, um Ihnen ein schönes und unbeschwertes Urlaubserlebnis zu ermöglichen. Umso mehr bedauere ich es, dass Sie dies weder erwähnen noch schätzen, sondern stattdessen im Nachhinein Kritik üben, ohne uns die Möglichkeit gegeben zu haben, weiterhin helfend einzugreifen und an ihrer Seite zu stehen. Nahezu jedes Problem kann mithilfe ordentlicher Kommunikation und respektvollem Umgang gelöst werden. Darauf legen wir seit Jahren größten Wert. Doch was ich in den vielen Jahren ebenfalls lernen musste, ist, dass das Sprichwort „Allen Leuten Recht getan, ist eine Kunst, die niemand kann“ leider manchmal zutrifft, wie auch leider in diesem Fall. Dennoch möchte ich mich abschließend für die Ihnen entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten recht herzlich entschuldigen und wünsche Ihnen alles Liebe Dear Guest, I am very sorry that you were not completely satisfied, especially considering that we have always done our best to promptly accommodate your needs. Perhaps the problems were due to the language barrier, caused by the fact that you speak neither English and Spanish and therefore could not or did not want to get in touch with me personally. In order to remedy this problem, I have switched on our German-speaking Natalie especially for you and your well-being, so that she can be at your side as a kind of mediator, helping and translating. You have often been in contact with her. I would have liked you to have kept this so that we could have worked out any disagreements together. In retrospect, unfortunately, it is too late. Nevertheless, I do not want to leave your points of criticism uncommented and comment on them: • There are directions on our website and I have also sent you a map to help you. In order to make your arrival easier and to shorten your search, I have asked Rafael and Natalie to pick you up at a gas station and drive you to your holiday home together and show you the way. Due to a flight delay, they waited three hours - with a welcome package in hand - to give you a nice start to your holiday. • Rafael showed you the TV and the programs twice. There are, if not many, German language programs. However, as you said you only want to see the news and there was "HR", your Hessian home broadcaster, you said that this is quite sufficient. 5 weeks without TV is therefore, please forgive me, not correct and therefore not a "loss of quality". • There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs and two bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs. To date, no holidaymaker has complained about having to sleep in the "basement". It's a shame that you're doing this, considering that apart from one week - when an additional guest was visiting - you only occupied the upper floor and the basement was therefore unused. • The pool is always cleaned once a week. This would also have happened without a request and a reminder call, but would also be happy - as you requested - a day earlier, on day 6. • If you would have liked the outside area to be swept, feel free to tell Natalie or, during the pool cleaning, Rafael personally. He would have taken care of this immediately, as well as the other requests made to him, such as explaining how the heating works, heating the pool, the immediate repair of a toilet that only required closing a click lock, explaining the safe, the purchase a larger coffee machine and the provision of new champagne glasses. Even when the water failed due to a burst water pipe – through no fault of our own and outside the holiday home on the street – there was an immediate response. In my opinion, all of your wishes were quickly fulfilled and, with the help of Natalie, Rafael and I were approached so that we could act as quickly as possible to give you a nice and carefree holiday experience. I am all the more sorry that you neither mention nor appreciate this, but instead criticize afterwards without having given us the opportunity to continue to intervene to help and stand by your side. Almost any problem can be solved with proper communication and respect. We have placed great value on this for years. But what I also had to learn over the many years is that the proverb "Doing justice to everyone is an art that nobody can master" is unfortunately sometimes true, as it is unfortunately in this case. Nevertheless, I would like to conclude by apologizing for the inconvenience caused to you and wish you all the best

Thank you very much for the review Amanda, it's true in the basement there is no air conditioning, fortunately it never does hot as on the ground floor as it never takes the sun directly downstairs, as you said a fan is enough !
