We had a really enjoyable family holiday in Jávea and overall had a good experience. Communication was good, and the villa itself is large and spacious, with generously sized bedrooms — particularly upstairs. The pool is excellent, while the views and setting are fantastic. The spacious naya is a great feature, and the kitchen is well equipped. The large TV and good WiFi were also welcome. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved. The listing needs to be clearer about the air conditioning. Although listed as an amenity, it is only available in the bedrooms. During our August stay, the main living area and kitchen became very warm. Fans were provided, but essentially just circulated the hot air.The glass panels covering part of the naya and pool entrance also made these areas very warm. We understand they were intended to prevent it becoming too breezy, but some appeared to be defective and couldn’t be opened. There were also some smaller maintenance issues, including a small area of mould and broken shutters in one downstairs bedroom, temperamental outside gates and general wear and tear. As mentioned in a previous review, water pressure also drops dramatically when two showers are used simultaneously.None of this spoiled our holiday, and the villa’s location, views and facilities are fantastic. With some straightforward maintenance and clearer information, this could be an outstanding property. For us, it was good rather than outstanding.
