We loved this apartment. It is located right by a lovely park and very close to a metro station. There is a market right next door. Very clean and responsive just. It is light and bright! There is a shared patio right outside the door to the apartment. The loft area worked well for my daughter and was private from the bedroom. Our host showed us around the apartment upon our arrival and helped us navigate everything. Wonderful experience!

Great Spot to Explore Madrid

This property is located with great access to a Metro stop as well as walking distance to Sol, Plaza Mayor, and other key Madrid sites. The host has done a wonderful job in making this a home-away-from-home for a traveler to Madrid. Our daughter, who is studying in Madrid for the semester, remarked at the great location and the ease with which we were able to move about this city.

Comfortable apt in a great location

The apt is full of light, with all that is needed for a great stay. The little terrace is a plus. The owner is responsive and ready to help if needed. The location is very convenient, one block for the subway, plenty of stores around. The loft upstairs is OK for young guests, but can be challenging for older ones. I would go back

Absolutely perfect

We had a wonderful time in Madrid. There's so much to see and do but having Maria's amazing apartment, right in the middle of everything was fantastic. It was a home away from home and we didn't want for anything. Maria showed us a few local places for shopping which was a real bonus. The apartment is right near the Metro so it could not have been easier. I would definitely stay again when I'm next in Madrid. Thank you Maria

The apartment is in a fantastic location. 5 minutes walk to nearest metro station (Arguelles), a good supermarket literally on the corner, plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. All the main tourist spots are accessible via metro or a good walk. For example, you can walk to Sol via Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace and Plaza de Espana in around 30/35 minutes or so. Also the lovely parque del Oeste is a few minutes walk away. Apartment is on 4th floor, but a good lift works perfectly.A great spot .Pilar is a friendly and effective host. We speak Spanish so we didn't need to bother her after all the initial questions, but I'm certain she would help. Check in /out was smooth and easy.The apartment is exceptionally well stocked with towels, cutlery, equipment, utensils and white goods. First class - probably best we've ever experienced. It was absolutely boiling in Madrid in June. The apartment being on top floor meant we couldn't use the mezzanine bedroom (effectively the roof), but the air-conditioning in lounge/diner (with comfy sofa bed) and in decent size double bedroom worked absolutely perfectly, so we had no issue (and it was extraordinarily hot).I would heartily recommend Pilar and 49 Calle Tutor, with one caveat. If you are a large person you may well struggle in bathroom/loo as it is narrow. Absolutely no issue for us and we are not tiny! Just be aware.Thanks Pilar for a great week.

Je suis tout à fait d'accord pour 4 personnes âgées il vaut mieux en prendre une autre sans escalier jusqu'au 2ème étage, mais je les ai prévenus avant de faire la réservation, et ils en ont payé 4 comme s'ils étaient 2
