We had a great stay! The home was cozy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all that we needed to cook for our family gathering. The home is off the beaten path and still only 20 min.from our duaghter and Texas State. We will definitely stay again! Thank you, Joy!

Wonderful little property, just outside of new braunfels. Comfortable beds, great utilitarian space with nice appointments. Small yard cut out of larger properties for dogs to run in. Beds are nice and firm. Great view. Great hosts.

Fantastic hosts - Joy and Sherman are two of the nicest and most accommodating on the planet. I loved everything about this place and so especially did my two Dalmatians, who were enchanted by the cows.If you are looking for a beautiful setting in a rural area that is quiet and serene, and love the idea of waking up to a beautiful sunrise, sitting outside on the porch with your coffee and watching your dogs play in the yard, this place is the one to pick in the San Antonio area!Thank you Joy and Sherman!

A quick getaway trip to the area. Wanted to stay away from the crowds.

Great place, as advertised. Had 2 dogs, the yard was perfect to let them roam. Relaxing in the backyard in the evening was nice. Close to many nice small towns to spend the days.

Relaxing Weekend

It was a very relaxing weekend in a house a top a hill. Very nice scenery. Our four labs enjoyed running through pastures and getting to stretch their legs. Lots of things to do in any direction.

My wife and I are country folks so this was right up our alley. We enjoyed the quiet, rustic style bunkhouse. Our dogs had lots of room to run. The tv is small but we don't really watch TV. The location is great. The only issue was that the mattress made for a bit of a stiff back in the morning. We'll most likely be return customers.

Spring break/College Visit/Fam Visit

If you need a check on with wide open outdoor space, this is the place! it is so beautiful! Fresh air and room to breath! Joy, host, was kind and easy to get to. Great place for indoor or outdoor memories to be made! Highly recommend!

Really awesome

Only complaint was the fridge but seeing as though there were no other complaints my assumption is it was just bad timing. It went out when I stayed there. I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet Country Setting

This is a good place for people with dogs. Two things to know about these cabins...1) the 4 cabins are set up in two sites. So you will have very close neighbors. 2) The linens/towels are clean but old. That said, we would stay here again.

We provide a quiet country setting. At any of our houses you will have only one neighbor further away than in a typical city.

My family and I were so impressed with the location and the property the home sits on. So peaceful and a great place to take pictures if you’re a lover of nature photography. The home was so spacious and you just felt at home and relaxed. The cows were also a pleasant sight to see and made very little noise. If you are looking for peace, calm and country tranquility; this is the perfect place! We will definitely be back! Also, the pictures they have for this place just doesn’t do justice, this place has so much to offer when it comes to beauty and peace.

Serene

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse. Everything was clean and in good condition. The location is wonderful, quiet and serene. Nice porches to sit and watch the humming birds flitting around in the magnificent areas of wildflowers. Fun to watch the cats and kittens who live in the structure next door. Our dog enjoyed the smells in the little fenced in garden area. Joy was very responsive when we had questions. New Braunfels is just 20 minutes away.

Quaint house in serene setting. Saw several scorpions, which is not unexpected in the country. We had to contact the property manager to get the access code because we didn’t receive an email and this was complicated by an incorrect phone number in “contact owner”. VRBO chat assistant helped us get the right phone number. Had to do some minor housekeeping when we arrived but nothing major. Joy (owner) was very responsive once we made contact and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again.
