Stunning Coach House with two bedrooms and parking

Recently completely renovated, The Coach House is the perfect break away for family and friends. Situated close to the River Wyre in Hambleton and a short stroll to the Shard Riverside pub and eatery. Comprises of two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other a king size or two singles, you are guaranteed a peaceful and relaxing night's sleep. Also a bright and airy kitchen and living space , beautiful shower room, views overlooking the fields, plus private parking for two cars.
The space
Contemporary decoration with high, beamed ceilings and velux windows for plenty of natural light. Laminate wooden floors throughout, all floors on one level. Clutter free rooms with plenty of hanging space and drawers in the bedrooms. Double shower cubicle for ease of access. Fully equipped kitchen with washer dryer, oven, hob and microwave.
The Coach House has it's own parking area for two cars next to the property.
Guest access
The Coach House is situated up a small private road with only one other house beyond meaning little passing traffic. Cars can easily access the property and there is a level private parking area for two cars.
The local village of Hambleton is a 2 minute drive away, the market town of Poulton is 5 mins away by car and the coastal towns of Knott End and Thornton Cleveleys are 10 mins drive away. Blackpool with it's attractions including the Zoo, Pleasure Beach, Watersplash Park, Sealife Centre and theatres are around 20mins drive away. All of these places can also be accessed by bus which runs every 30mins from the end of the lane, a 5 min walk away.
Other things to note
All doors are wider for wheelchair access. There is an excellent country style public house and eatery around the corner, 2 mins walk away, next to the river Wyre.

Friendly welcome, and the 'cottage' clean and beautifully appointed, and we would recommend to anyone who wants a Our second visit and we're just as pleased as the first time. A lot of thought has gone into the furnishing and layout of the property which has been finished to a high standard. Easy communication with the owner and an enjoyable stay. We would love to return.

Inflexible owner - would only reschedule our booking if we sent an additional 50% directly to her!

My son sustained a serious shoulder injury which requires surgery & had to pull out of the Lytham Trophy,10 days before our stay, I asked the owner if we could reschedule to a quieter time of the year or same time in 2024. She agreed, but only if I paid half as much again directly to her, outside the Vrbo app. This was in addition to the full amount I’d already paid.There was plenty of time to readvertise & possibly get a relet booking, in fact she wasn’t actually losing a booking, we just wanted to move the dates to another time. I accept we were out of the cancellation period, but we weren’t asking for a refund. Vrbo actively promote requesting alternative dates, in reality this isn’t the case. It was a very genuine reason for wanting to reschedule. Vrbo did try to get the owner to change her mind, to no avail. I feel in this instance Vrbo should have insisted the owner be more reasonable. Instead she has kept the full payment and possibly relet through another site. I always think that you only get a true reflection of something/someone when there is a problem and the way they choose to deal with that issue reflects on the overall service they are providing. It’s very disappointing Gill couldn’t be more flexible or agreeable. Maybe when she passes a charity donation box she will put in some of the money she’s kept, so at least some good will come of this situation.

Exceptional property, great location and perfect hosts.

We can’t fault this property, everything from booking to checking in was so easy. The property itself we give 10/10, everything from decor to cleanliness was exceptional and the property contained everything we required for our stay. Both hosts were very friendly, professional and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family.

Otherwise if we are out, we can be contacted anytime by mobile.

Why they chose this property

There is plenty of history in this part of Hambleton. The Shard pub and eatery was originally a private home and the Coach House housed the coaches. Our home, The Mews, stabled the horses and the two semi detached cottages next door is where the gardener and the chauffeur lived. It is a lovely, peaceful part of the world to use as a relaxing base for your visit to the Fylde Coast.

What makes this property unique

The position of this lovely holiday home is unique. Only 2 minutes walk from the river and local pub/eatery, it is in a lovely, peaceful, rural setting. Yet, you can be in the local town of Poulton within 5 minutes drive for a meal, drink or shopping. Should you want the hustle and bustle of Blackpool, it is only 10-15 minutes drive away! The quieter town of Knott End on the coast is only 10 minutes away. You can be as busy or relaxed as you wish taking a break in the Coach House.
