The cosy sitting area with its tasteful furnishings, host of original features and a warming wood burning stove, makes this the perfect year-round bolthole for couples looking for peace and tranquillity. French doors open onto an ornamental Juliet balcony allowing you to enjoy the far reaching views each morning from your kitchen table or breakfast bar. The comfortable bedroom boasts an inviting super-king size bed with the flexibility of converting to twin single beds if preferred and benefits from a bright and fresh en-suite with a large, walk-in shower.
Outside, a small private raised terrace area with table and chairs invites you to enjoy an al-fresco morning coffee or a summer's evening G&T whilst listening to the birdsong and taking in the hillside views.
The property has direct access onto the well known Mortimer Walking Trail which begins in Ludlow and ends in Kington. Nearby Wapley Hill Wood, with its Iron Age hill fort, is located on this section of the trail. In addition, there are many other glorious rural walking and cycling routes to choose from.
With all necessities available four miles away in the picturesque 'black and white' village of Pembridge, including historic The New Inn, one of the oldest inns in Britain; The Cider Barn, an excellent restaurant serving delicious lunches and dinners along with a cafe menu; a super village shop and fabulous tea rooms, delicatessen; and an award winning farm shop and butcher; you need look no further for the perfect romantic escape.
Additional Information: All first floor accommodation. Please note, there are steps up to the front door. A Groom's View occupies the first floor of the detached stable building (ground floor stables no longer in use). Sorry, no pets. Sorry, no children. A babe in arms is welcome in own Moses basket. The bedding is non feather. Wonderful views towards Hereford, the Black Mountains and beyond. There is a steep banked area leading to a lawn and further seating to enjoy the views. (Mowed each Monday during the growing season). Shared driveway with owners, then onto private parking area.
