This charming cottage with Free Wifi , full of character offers a unique setting for your rural holiday, built over a century ago with a spacious and cosy one level living area refurbished to include Internet access and satellite TV, a large open plan kitchen-dining room, comfortable lounge with fireplace and wood burner with spectacular sea and valley views. The cottage is ideal for couples wanting to escape or even for families up to six. There are two bedrooms, one with a large double bed and another with two twin beds, plenty of cupboard space available and a double sofa bed. A beautiful house in the hills overlooking Puerto de cruz

When we first arrived at night it was cloudy and cold. The inside temperature of the house was 18 degrees. Once we worked out how to turn on the heating this helped! The temperature and weather improved over the week and this was when staying in the casa became much more enjoyable. The house itself is lovely with great views and all possible mod cons you can think of. We never met Lesley but she was contactable when needed. I would recommend this house especially to hikers/ people who want to be away from it all as it is quite far away from Puerto de la cruz and bars/restaurants. Although this is a nice house I wouldn't go back at this time of year purely because it's quite a bit colder than i expected - about 4 degrees colder than the coast. Everything else was good.

Quiet & relaxing

The cottage was as good as we had hoped, spacious, well furnished and well maintained, we had no issues while we were there, but have no doubt that they would of been dealt with immediately, if we had. If you are looking for a quiet base, away from the towns, I would not hesitate to recommend it. A few points worth noting, temp is 4-5c lower than in the town below, so, if cloudy, can be quite cool to sit outside. Only English language channels are CNN, Fox News and BBC world news. Thank you Lesley, for a wonderful stay.

It was dark when we arrived and we were tired loved it when you could see where we were the next day

We enjoyed the cottage especially the views ..loved the fire on a night so cosy great kitchen with lots of space . Very enjoyable

Lovely little hideaway with everything we needed to have a relaxed holiday.

Property was ideal for us, comfortable and well appointed with everything we could have needed. Well situated for exploring north Tenerife, although some of the steep roads a bit scary. Top tip s to get a proper road map and not rely on GPS or google maps as they will take you the steepest hills. Driving generally fine though. House itself is in a wee compound so felt very peaceful, lovely views over Puerto while sitting in back garden. Avocado trees and grape vines all around. Previously the owner had stayed in house adjoining but this was now rented out. Lesley did come to see us and gave us excellent tips and helpful info and the small issues we encountered while there were immediately dealt with when we contacted her. She was very helpful in emails before hand as well. We never made it up Mt Teide due to ice and snow ( we were enjoying 20-25 degrees over Xmas) and also didn't have time to do some other things we had planned so we definitely want to return toN Tenerife. We visited a resort ( Los Gigantes) for a day and it was fine but not for us, so much more to he island than what the resorts offer. We would definitely stay in the Puerto area again.

A beautifully equipped cottage with stunning views.

I had a peaceful and quiet holiday which was just what I wanted. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings with wonderful views. It is vital to have a car to access the island. The cottage had everything you need and was very comfortable.

Rural quality

An excellent holiday cottage next to the owners property . Secure , good facilities and excellent views . Lesley was a superb hostess .She was very helpful but only when asked . The directions were good and the area interesting . We ate in and ate out to a high standard The only improvement I would suggest is a large double bed rather than two singles . Nevertheless , I have already recommended the property to relatives and friends .

well equipped cottage in lovely location.

Very well equipped cottage with everything you need. Loads of space indoors and outdoors. Lovely location with lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Well placed for visiting Teide national park and trip to summit is a must. Observatory also worth a visit. Lesley provides lot of useful information, maps etc provided for walking.

Excellent

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in this lovely cottage. It was very clean, well-equipped and private, despite being attached to the owner's house. Ideally located on the north of Tenerife, great for walking above Aguamansa and Teide National Park. We didn't eat out as the local fruit and veg (including fresh avocados, fruit and eggs from the owner's garden) tasted delicious when eating out on the terrace in the evening, enjoying the view. The owner was so hospitable and welcoming (and generous with her produce). Only thing that would have made it even better was if the beds weren't so soft but that is down to personal taste. Would definitely recommend and intend to make a return visit.

An attractive cottage in rural Tenerife

My wife and I spent a month in November 2013 staying in this charming property. We had a fantastic time in this comfortable and easily maintained cottage. The property is situated in a rural village above Los Realejos. The cottage is located away from a country road – there is no traffic noise at all. Although it is next door to the owners’ property, we enjoyed our privacy and independence. The owners were friendly and provided help with any practical matters when needed. There is ample information about places to visit which proved very useful. The cottage is accurately described and it met our needs perfectly. The living room is very comfortably furnished. Satellite TV ensured being able to watch Premiership football! The kitchen provides every facility needed for a self-catering holiday, with full sized hob and oven, as well as a fridge large enough so that we did not need to shop every day. There is a separate dining area with a full sized table and chairs. The owners had provided adequate cutlery, crockery and glasses. There were plenty of pans for cooking. The bathroom is large and beautifully tiled. There are two bedrooms – a full sized double with a small single bedroom adjoining. The wi-fi worked well which meant we could keep up with family back in the UK. The attractive garden and terraces give every opportunity to enjoy al fresco living when weather permitted. Our preferred holiday making involves plenty of sightseeing, walking and dining. We would recommend visiting La Orotava, Garachico and Icod de los vinos as the most interesting towns. The best beaches we found were Playa Socorro, Playa Jardin and Charco Viento. All are within easy reach of the cottage. We also liked the yellow sand beach at Playa de las Teresitas, some 45 minutes to the east. A visit to Teide is a must, as are the drives to Masca and Taganana, two very remote villages. Although it was sometimes cool and overcast at the cottage (in November), it was normally possible to find good weather elsewhere on the island. I would like to thank the owners for helping to make our holiday such a memorable one. I always had prompt replies to my emails in the lead up to our holiday. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to future holiday makers. You will be assured of a carefree holiday in Palo Blanco.

A comfortable cottage with a stunning view

We stayed in this cottage for 10 days and absolutely loved it! The photos demonstrate what everything looks like in reality. This Canarian style cottage has its personality which I liked a lot. The house is full of different little details which make it special and you actually take the place as your “home” rather than a “hotel”. It was very great to have a nice breakfast with a cup of coffee sitting in the terrace and enjoying the sunrise. Lesley has always been very friendly, kind and helpful to us. The house is situated close to all kinds of adventures but of course without a car it would be quite difficult to travel around. There was one thing I was a bit disappointed about – I’m talking about twin beds as I expected a double one, it was the only uncomfortable thing about this cottage but it hasn’t spoiled my total impression and I would definitely recommend it!

Calm and Comfortable

We choose this cottage for its quiet rural location and we were not disappointed. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable and quiet... we overslept every day! the garden is lovely with beautiful views. All exactly as described. It is ideally placed for exploring the north of the island. Thank you Lesley for the warm welcome and your help with recommending restaurants which we really enjoyed! A place to come back!

It has been a great location to start all kind of activities on the island and to come back in the evening after a day full of impressions and adventures, to calm down and to close the day with a glass of your choice outside in the garden, admiring the sunset at the western limits of the Orotava valley. If you choose the north side of the island, the green side, the "right side" of Teneriffa, you know that you cannot spend all day in the sun. But you can be sure that you will have the opportunity to drink the morning coffee and the evening beer outside on the terrace. Great place, well equipped house, quiet surroundings, lovely and helpfull hosts! Thanks Lesley!

Just as described

We had a very relaxing week here, made to feel at home by Lesley who,from the moment she met us gave us lots of helpful advice and could not have been more hospitable, being available whenever advice was needed. Do try the small local restaurants for the experience and price. I had not been to Tenerife before and am so glad that we came to the North first; much quieter and great for walking and relaxing. The bungalow has all you need and is private despite being close to the owner's house.

Three Months Of Heaven!

We first met the owner of this delightful retreat last winter in Los Gigantes where Lesley also has 8 beautiful apartments. So upon hearing about this rural retreat we booked a three month winter break immediately, knowing that it would be of an impecable standard. We were delighted with everything, the photos are very good but real life is truly breathtaking! In a mad world we found an oasis of calm, the previous guests comments are honest and acurate in a good way, the only negative...........one has to leave this lovely place and rejoin the real world at some point! In life we all meet very few people who are 100% genuine, kind, honest and caring, if you choose to stay at this retreat, you will become one of the lucky few! Book with complete certainty that what is decribed is what you will find, nothing is too much trouble, Lesley and her family are just such lovely people that you will have one of the best holidays of your life.

Maison très confortable, avec une vue magnifique.

Nous avons passé de très agréables vacances dans cette grande maison, très chaleureuse et calme, avec un superbe jardin en terrasse. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié le confort de la maison, avec toutes les attentions de Lesley pour nous faciliter le séjour : boissons offertes à l'arrivée, jeux de société, glacière, peignoirs, cuisine très bien équipée, rien ne manquait! La décoration était également de qualité. La maison est aussi bien située pour découvrir les endroits les plus beaux de Tenerife : Le Teide, l'Anaga, la vallée de la Orotava etc..., tout en n'étant qu'à 1h en voiture de l'aéroport sud. A recommander !

lovely views

A very spacious stone cottage , much larger than we expected, with private split level garden that has beautiful panoramic views over the vineyards to the coast. It is fully equipped with everything you could possible want both inside and out. It is a lovely drive to El Teide and not far from Puerto de la Cruz and La Ortava. We got lost on arrival but Lesley was very helpful and drove to find us to show us the way so it might be easier to arrive in daylight. Obviously being situated high up in the hills the roads are winding and steep in places so make sure you hire a car with good engine!

cozy comfy cottage

We loved this cozy and comfortable place with beautiful garden and view - it felt very home-like in this non-touristic area, great to start and end our days of walking around in the incredible lava-landscapes of Tenerife. Lesley. the host, was very welcoming and helpful and gave us good advices on where to eat, walk, swim etc. By car it's easy to go around the island from here. We'd advice to anyone who is into really discovering the beauty of Tenerife: don't stay hanging around the shops and swimming pools in the south, take this place in the north as a base that feels more natural and quiet.

A Wonderful Week

We had a wonderfully relaxing week in this secluded cottage with views to die for - it seems as though the whole of the island is spread out beneath you. It is ideally located for touring round, with easy access to the main coast motorway once you get the hang of the winding roads up the mountain. It was perfect for us and our little boy - fully equipped with everything we needed to eat in and relax in the evening. However, there is plenty on offer for those wanting more of a night out, with La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz relatively close by. Although the owners live adjacent to the cottage, they are very discrete but also helpful and informative if the need arises.

Que du bonheur !

La casita est magnifique et très bien placée pour visiter toute la partie nord de l'ile. On accède aussi rapidement à la route qui mène au Téide. La terrasse est grande et joliment aménagée, avec une vue imprenable sur la côte. Quant à l'accueil, rien à redire. Nous sommes arrivés tard le soir et Ingrid nous attendait pour nous guider.

Comfortabel huisje met prachtig uitzicht

Huisje ligt op de heuvels boven puerto de la cruz met uitzicht naar de zee. Is comfortabel, goed uitgeruste keuken. Het is onderdeel van een klein complex met nog 3 andere appartementen ernaast. Het ligt dus niet alleen. De communicatie met Lesley en Ingrid was heel prettig en gemakkelijk. De omgeving is prachtig. Het was erg warm voor maart. Het enige wat wij een beetje misten was een zwembad. Maar dat wisten we op voorhand. Echt een aanrader.

Preciosas vistas

Hemos pasado allí 5 días con nuestros niños y volvemos encantados. Todo perfecto, solo hemos echado en falta un secador de pelo con más potencia. Mis niñas y yo tenemos el pelo largo y tardábamos muchísimo en secarlo. Por lo demás todo genial, una casa muy cómoda, el lugar espectacular y la gente súper amable. Seguro que repetiremos..

Ruhig gelegen mit tollem Blick über Puerto und die Nordküste

Entspricht der Beschreibung und hält was es verspricht. Absolutes Highlight war für uns der Whirlpool und der Kamin. Die Betreuung durch die Vermieterin war zu jedem Zeitpunkt gut.

Fantastischer Ausblick in gemütlicher Ferienwohnung. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung der sehr geräumigen Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Backofen, extra Handtücher für den Jacuzzi, Kamin, Zimmer mit Fußbodenheizung, bequeme Betten...Es fehlte wirklich an nichts. Das Grundstück wird von einem Tor eingefasst und es befinden sich noch drei? weitere Wohneinheiten darauf. Grandios ist zudem der Ausblick von der Terasse (und auch vom Sofa aus) hinab auf die Stadt und das Meer. Sowohl tagsüber, als auch abends ein Traum. Der Jacuzzi ist auch sehr zu empfehlen:) Er wird sich mit den anderen Mietern geteilt, wir haben dort aber nie jemanden angetroffen. Wir wurden bei Anreise von Marimar, einer Freundin der Gastgeberin und zudem Nachbarin an einer nahegelegenen Tankstelle abgeholt und zur Wohnung gebracht, wo uns alles erklärt wurde und eine Flasche Rotwein auf uns gewartet hat. Einen Abend haben wir über Lesley typisch kanarisches, hausgemachtes Essen bestellt. Wie sich herausstellte war Marimar die Köchin. Das Essen war großartig! Noch eimal vielen Dank an dieser Stelle und viele Grüße:) Ich glaube man hört es heraus: Wir waren absolut zufrieden und können eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung aussprechen. Ein Mietwagen ist unerlässlich, aber so lässt sich alles in kurzen Zeit erreichen.

Ferienwohnung mit toller Aussicht

Eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit guter Ausstattung. Die Aussicht auf die Küste ist der Hammer! Die Betreuung durch Lesley war schnell und super! Ich kann alles sehr empfehlen.

Fantastisch

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Ganz besonders begeistert hat uns natürlich die Terrasse mit dem wunderschönen Ausblick. Lesley ist eine super Gastgeberin. So haben wir uns rundum wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.
