In the other direction the footpath leads to Hanwood, also with a village pub and local shop. Dotted with flowers and parks, and renowned for the historic Shrewsbury Abbey and Castle, this bustling town is home to a lively independent shopping scene, restaurants, bars and some unforgettable days out.
