We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful, unique property.

If you enjoy being away from crowds and surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place. The large, netted gazebo was a highlight—we spent much of our time there as a group, playing games and making music. The private cenote/pool was a refreshing and unique alternative to a regular swimming pool, perfect for daily dips. Several fascinating snorkeling cenotes are within walking distance, and the beaches are just a short drive away. The staff were attentive, and communication throughout the rental process and our stay was excellent.Getting there involves a short but bumpy dirt road. While a 4x4 isn’t necessary, a vehicle with decent clearance is recommended for navigating the potholes.The only downside was the kitchen/cooking area: it’s small and quite basic for a house with so many bedrooms. We enjoy preparing our own meals, but this was challenging—especially since the refrigerator was nonfunctional for our entire stay. Although the staff made efforts to fix it, they were unsuccessful. A small backup fridge worked but didn’t have room for a lot of food, and there is no microwave.Overall, we highly recommend Escaip Light!
