Lovely lodge, a home-from-home, with beautiful views over Bassenthwaite Lake. A truly idyllic setting. Lodge had all the amenities you could need. A wonderful stay.
Lovely comfortable, well equipped lodge with amazing views over the lake.Quiet location which suited us and enjoyed the wildlife around us. Keswick close by too. Great weekend and the weather was fantastic.
We had a lovelly Easter stay with our 2 kids and dog. The lodge has everything you need, great views, comfy beds, no hassle check-in.Would love to visit again in summer to make use of the lake.
We had a wonderful time in the lodge and were blessed with the weather for April. The lodge has fabulous views of the lake and was spotlessly clean. A real home from home with everything a family needs and the beds are so comfortable. Excellent communication with the owner. I will most definitely return, highly recommended.
Great lodge, brilliant location and all the amenities you could want for a relaxing trip.

We had a nice quiet stay, loved the view. We had one or two problems. Somebody had taken battery from the t.v. control. No light in bathroom, central heating didn’t work. Did not touch it as we didn’t understand how to reset it.Rats on the balcony.
Beautifully situated on the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake, Wantandleth lodge was clean and well equipped and the bed was very comfy. Wifi was good and shower was lovely. I just couldn't get the front door to lock with the key at all, so felt quite insecure for the weekend I was there, I could see how it SHOULD lock but it wasn't having it. I was disappointed that I couldn't get down to the lake easily with my walker or mobility scooter as the paths are so gravelly its no good tying to get anything with wheels over them other than the car. Was a lovely view though from the property, very peaceful and quiet with lots of birds and trees around. Although the decor is very dark and dated it was cosy and despite the crazy internal door configuration from bedrooms to bathrooms I would highly recommend this property to anyone with better mobility than myself.
Amazing lodge, immaculate, cosy, comfy beds, well stocked with everything you need, stunning views and well cared for. It had a Smart TV so you could watch Netflix etc which is what we love. It was only 10-15 min drive to Keswick. One of the nicest lodges we have stayed in and really would recommend it. The lodge is in one of the best plots right opposite the lake. We loved the view in a morning having coffee overlooking the lake, a very impressive lodge. The host was very responsive and helpful at all times. We will definitely be returning.
Another fantastic stay! This is our second visit to this lodge and both times have been amazing! Thr hosts ate very quick to return any questions we had and are always accommodating to our needs. The location is fantastic and gives us plenty of places to visit during our stay!
It was a lovely lodge and we had a special time. The only thing as a negative was that all the cutlery, cups plates glasses could do with a good clean as we had to washthem before use.
The lodge was perfect ,large clean and had everything we needed.the location was stunning and alison was quick to reply to messages during the stay .the beds were so comfy ive never slept as well for a long time .my family said the same .would 100% recommend and we would definitely return
Thank you for letting us stay at your lodge. Everything was great. A nice , relaxed , break.Everything you need , and much more , was there. Even though we had the mispleasure of a storm , it didn’t stop us doing anything. Our Cocker Spaniel loved it too - even dog bowls supplied , if needed.May well book again if The Lakes is our destination x
