Upper Peninsula premiere location. Minutes from St.Ignace, cozy log cabin on Lake Michigan. Enjoy two acres of woods and Lake frontage. Spectacular views from cabin directly on Lake Michigan. Can't wait to share 2024 season with you. Come and enjoy views of St. Helena island and its lighthouse from cabin table. Freighters pass by regularly. Great swimming, kayaking, fishing on lake Michigan. Enjoy fire on waters edge after a day of sightseeing in "God's County" Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Cabin includes two bedrooms, one king, one queen. Also full daybed in living room. Kitchen includes everything you will need to prepare meals onsite. A charcoal grill is also available. There is one bath and also an outdoor heated shower. Utube TV, WIFI

What a quaint, clean cabin and beautiful property. It was a pleasure to stay here on our honeymoon. I highly recommend this cabin property for a stay up in Northern Michigan!

This is our favorite Up North place to be. All the conveniences we like wrapped up in a quaint, rustic package we never get tired of (4th stay—so far). The view of Moran Bay and Straits shipping is awesome, it’s quiet and serene, and close to everything we love about northern Michigan. Can’t wait to get back here!

Very nice little spot to relax

Enjoyed the stay very much, was close enough to town to make getting things easy, but far enough away to enjoy some needed peace and quiet. Cabin was very nice, and well kept up. Will probably see if it's available next year.

Amazing view in a cozy cabin

This cabin is so adorable and has the greatest view. We loved staying right on the water. The owner has decorated this very nicely and everything you need is there. We especially loved the day bed in the living room and the bear theme. Oh and all the makings for s'mores over the campfire.

Lake Cabin

Cabin was decorated nicely, All appliances worked great. The lake actually is very shallow, you can walk a few hundred yards before you get waste deep. Fires on the lake at night were pleasant (bring high rated bug spray), thanks for the supplied wood. The best view is looking out of the living room window at the lake. Light switches and outlets are hard to find, they blend in with the walls. There is no A/C, but the weather was cool enough to open all the windows (beware if you have allergies) The property is only a few miles out of town, but the Highway Noise ruins the tranquil surroundings. The Wi-Fi works well, but streaming if needed is an issue. There are neighbors on both sides, but were not a problem. We enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately would not stay again, because of the highway noise. Don't get me wrong, if it was my place, I would deal with it. The U.P. was Fantastic.

nice cabin on the lake

Just the type of place we wanted to stay. Nice little cabin and very homey. Enjoyed sitting by the outside fire and watching the boats and waves on the lake. Mary Jo was very helpful when the car battery was dead. Came over and gave us a jump start.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay in St Ignace. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. The beds and linens were very comfortable - so much so that we slept late every morning! The view of the water and the freighters going by in the distance was fun to watch. The cabin is close to everything while still feeling like you are staying in the woods. Mary Jo was very easy to work with - thank you for sharing your place with us!

Just Perfect

This cabin is a gem in my opinion. From the moment you pull down the driveway and see the beautiful setting on the lake until you crawl into bed at night, everything is just perfect for a woodsy retreat. There are enough rustic elements to remind you that you're in the woods, which I love, but the comfort level of the beds and furnishings is just right. The little reading nook in the living room was a favorite spot for us and we did a lot of lounging and reading by the lake . Thank you for a wonderful vacation spot, it is just lovely and we can't wait to visit again!

Happy times at My Cabin

We really enjoyed our week at the cabin. We enjoy historical buildings and appreciated the craftsmanship of the cabin. We would love to know more about the history of the people who built and cared for the cabin so lovingly. It was tidy and well appointed and served our purposes well. The guys especially appreciated the second restroom “the outhouse”. :-) The location on the water was calming and was in close proximity to our day trip destinations. Tahquamenon falls and whitefish point are always must sees. We saw the red fox outside the cabin twice, and a bald Eagle 🦅 flew over our heads a couple of times, too. We can never get enough of the quaint and beautiful area. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us.

Third stay here, and could not love it more! We’ve stayed in Michigan A LOT over the years and told Maryjo the first time we stayed here that this is the place we were always looking for. Not just an authentic cabin in the woods, but with updates that make it so much more “stayable,” (WiFi, washer/dryer), while keeping its 40s charm. It’s private, quiet, at a beautiful spot on the bay, with just the right proximity to conveniences—not too close, not too far. Maryjo is always quick to respond to any questions.

Cosy Cabin, Restorative and Relaxing Waterfront.

We enjoyed our stay at this sweet, charming cabin. There were many thoughtful details thoughout. The property and beach area were private. After a day visiting area attractions, we especially enjoyed evening campfires.
