The house overall is spacious, clean, and was comfortable for our group of 2 couples. The location is wakable to pretty much anywhere in Takayama. If you need more than 2 beds, make sure that you're OK sleeping on real futons on a tatami floor. I was comfortable but my husband would have appreciated more cushioning. The location is very quiet - we enjoyed the garden but were careful to be quiet since it is almost surreally silent all around. Two small caveats - there is a washer but no dryer, only drying racks so we ended up taking our laundry to a laundromat that's very close. And if you're hoping to use luggage forwarding you need to be present to accept the delivery, but we were unable to find any 7-11s or Family Marts that would accept luggage to be sent from Takayama.
