In this luxurious holiday home called “Het Steven van Grou,” you’ll want for nothing. It’s a completely newly furnished home equipped with every modern convenience. The home is located in a private park in the water sports village of Grou, the water sports heart of Friesland. The home has a lovely, sunny southwest-facing backyard with a beautiful patio, where you can relax in the evening sun until late, have a barbecue, or unwind after a great day in the hot tub!
The spacious garden, which is fully enclosed by a green hedge and a fence, features several seating areas. There are lounge beds, a lounge set, and a picnic table. For the children, there’s a playground set for hours of fun. There’s also (STARTING APRIL 16!) a brand-new wood-fired hot tub available for use. There’s plenty of firewood on hand.
The space
The home features a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, induction cooktop, and range hood. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine and a Nespresso milk frother.
On the ground floor, there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. There are two large bedrooms, each with a 180x200 cm box spring bed that can be separated into two single beds. A camp bed can be added to one of these rooms. The third bedroom has a 90x200 bunk bed. From the landing, there is access to a rooftop terrace at the front of the house.
The bathroom features a spacious shower stall, bathroom cabinet, and a second toilet.
For washing and drying, you can use a washing machine and dryer near the reception desk for a small fee.
Parking is available for 2 cars (or 1 car and a boat caravan) on the property next to the house.
Children
This holiday home is very suitable for children. The fenced-in yard features a fun playground set, and a travel cot and high chair are also provided.
The park features a small swimming pool (75 cm deep), mini-golf, and several playgrounds that are free to use.
Area
A one-minute walk takes you to the promenade pier for a refreshing dip or simply to enjoy a drink while watching the boats sail by.
Boat and bicycle rentals are available through the reception desk. Next to the reception desk is the restaurant “Oan’t Wetter” and a cafeteria. Bringing your own boat is also no problem; you can reserve a berth in advance at the Waterpark Yn’e Lijte reception desk. Next to the water park’s reception desk is a boat ramp where you can launch your own boat. This is also where you’ll find the ferry that takes you to the picturesque centre of Grou.
Pets
Unfortunately, for hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed.
Practical Information
Kitchen linens are provided. Dishwasher tablets, dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags are also provided.
Bed linens and towels are not included. These can be added to your reservation; bed linens are €8 and towels are €5 per person.
