La Pagliera di Badia a Passignano is a charming villa for two, offering a tranquil and romantic setting in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Located on the edge of a small rural hamlet, the property enjoys panoramic views of the historic Badia a Passignano, a thousand-year-old abbey belonging to the Vallombrosan order.



The abbey is just a 15-minute walk from the villa and features a stunning Last Supper fresco by Domenico Ghirlandaio. Nearby, guests will find excellent restaurants such as Di Vino, which serves traditional dishes with views over the vineyards, or the Michelin-starred Osteria di Passignano. A small grocery store is located in the nearby village of Sambuca, and all major amenities can be found in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, a ten-minute drive away. Florence, Siena and San Gimignano can each be reached in under 45 minutes.

The villa is a single-storey stone house that has been beautifully restored. Inside, exposed stone walls, wooden beamed ceilings and large windows create a bright and elegant atmosphere. The minimalist interior offers both comfort and character. Outside, there is a small dining terrace in front of the house and a second shaded terrace by the pool. Guests are also welcome to pick herbs and vegetables from the lovely garden.

We had a brilliant stay here celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary. The host was polite, respectful and helpful offering suggestions of what to do and where to explore with excellent communication throughout. The villa was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was a highlight and as others have stated, it felt almost private with the hosts not using whilst we were there. We didn't end up using the air conditioning but use of this and minimal costs involved is made really clear. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Incroyable

Un séjour magnifique dans une propriété très calme avec une vue superbe. Les gérants sont très discrets et l’accès à la piscine est totalement privée Le logement est très bien équipé, décoré avec beaucoup de goût. A 1km une abbaye qu’il faut absolument visiter et 3 restaurants dont un gastronomique. nous avons fait les trois et nous n’avons pas été déçus Seul point négatif pour la maison : Attention juste au coût supplémentaire si vous utilisez la climatisation (1,5 € du kw/h) Je recommande sans problème ce lieu
