The apartment was easy to find and check in was fine. This apartment is directly across the road from the SLAY bar which stays open late and I was kept awake by noise until around 6am. If you need to use the sofa bed in the lounge room you won’t get much sleep due to noise, and a not particularly comfortable sofa bed. One is better than the other. The doonas and pillows are old and the doonas in particular are torn and dirty. Sheets are clean so that was a plus. There is a shortage of hooks in the bathroom - no where to put clothes. Kitchen is ok.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay. We’re glad to hear that you found the apartment easy to locate and that check-in went smoothly. While our central location offers great access to vibrant nightlife, we understand that it can sometimes lead to noise issues, especially for those using the sofa bed. We appreciate your comments regarding the comfort of the sofa bed and will take them into consideration as we continue to improve our space. We’re also sorry to hear about the condition of the duvet and pillows. We strive to provide a comfortable environment, and your feedback will help us address these concerns. We will ensure that all bedding is thoroughly checked and replaced as needed. Regarding the bathroom hooks, we appreciate your suggestion and will look into adding more storage options to enhance our guests' experience. Thank you once again for your insights, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future, providing a more comfortable stay. BNBHost

First time to Glasgow

Gillian is a very responsive host, and the location of her flat was fantastic for access to all the things we wanted to do. We had a wonderful time exploring the city and taking day tours. We had come from Edinburgh by train and it was a very easy walk going from the station to the flat, and getting to Glasgow Airport by bus.

It’s a busy place

If you need a place to crash with friends in Merchant City after a night out this is your spot! However, if you want a longer stay and outside noise is any concern, I would advise against the location.

Good location, not the best stay ever

Our team found the flat to be not very clean, especially in the bathroom but also on the floor with hair from previous use. Also, it was not mentioned in the vrbo platform that the owner needed a 250 £ and when they demanded it, 2 days before, we were caught off guard. O the bright side, the location was top and the apartment was nicely decorated.

Thank you for your feedback. We have spoken with housekeeping regarding the issues with the cleaning and apologies again for this. We have now changed the automated deposit message to be sent at the time of booking as we understand your frustration. We would love to host you again in the future!

Great location for local amenities and easy walk to transport

Lots of space to move around in, really great location close to shopping, entertainment and transportation l. I’ve read some comments about street noise. Yes, it’s a city, this is what you get for this convenient location. Big windows with lots of natural light, very comfortable, the bed, a double, is small for two. Stove/cooker is electric and hard to operate but works. If you use the microwave, toaster and kettle on at the same time you may blow a breaker but it can be reset. Overall a great experience, would recommend

Overall we were very disappointed in the cleanliness and things being in slight disrepair. Hair all over, dirty dishes, bathroom dirty, blinds off the rail etc. It immediately makes it hard to feel comfortable when it is dirty. To enter there are 5 doors, multiple door codes etc. This was difficult for my grandma to manage on her own. This is worth mentioning as this makes it not accessible for everyone. The sofa beds are very uncomfortable, almost to the point of not being usable. The middle is two wooden slats that are not at all covered, I had to pad them with pillows to even attempt to sleep on it. It is very noisy, especially at night with people coming out of the casino etc. I know this can't be helped but it is good to know before booking. It is a convenient location but it was certainly not the cozy home away from home that it was advertised as.A deep clean, some small repairs and attention to detail would make it much more welcoming upon first impressions. Definitely not recommended for a longer stay as it is just not comfortable.
