60th birthday family celebration

So well appointed with toys, games and great outdoor space - swimming, football, fire pit and seating with BBQ. We had a great time and would certainly recommend. We would love to return one day. Giles and family were generous in sharing their home. Thank you!

The house and garden are beautiful and spacious. This is a family home so full of their possessions. We loved our stay and there were many positives:When the pool heating worked it was lovelyThere were many outdoor games provided, eg; pickle ball, croquet, trampoline, jungle gymThe beds were comfyThe house absorbed our party of 13 people over 3 generations very wellBut there were many irritants:The pool turned off without warningNo tumble dryer3 door handles malfunctionedHot water system on a timer - not enough for 13 of usOutside furniture dirty, we had to clean tables and sun loungersGas cylinder leaked - no spare, we had to replaceOnly superficially clean

Thank you for staying glad you had a great week with your family. The pool temperature was pre-set at your request and subsequently increased to 30 degrees, we also extended the heating to 8 hours per day at no extra charge. The pool is outside and has an electric cover which also helps retain the heat. Unfortunately we had issues with the group altering the heating and filter timers which had to be reset twice by our maintenance man. The BBQ and outdoor furniture was cleaned the day of arrival, the house professionally cleaned and an early check-in offered to accommodate travel plans. We were not made aware about the hot water, this could have been increased had we been informed at the time, we have fixed the sticking door handles and also installed a tumble dryer.
