Lovely Home

My wife and I spent 8 days here. Very clean, super location and most comfortable. The apartment is very nicely furnished, everything needed was provided and everything felt new, including the bed. We have been visiting Lucca for 8 years now and Casa Edgar is at the top of our list now. perfect for 2 people. The expresso maker didn't work right so we ended up using drip and instant.

Dear Thomas, hank you so much for such an incredible review! We are absolutely honored to hear that after 8 years of visiting Lucca, Casa Edgar is now at the top of your list. It is fantastic to know that you found the apartment so clean, perfectly located, and comfortable for your 8-day stay. We are especially glad you appreciated the furnishings and had a great night's sleep in the new bed. Regarding the espresso maker, we are sorry it gave you a bit of trouble! We understand it can be a little tricky to operate if you are not used to that specific model. Please, next time you visit, do not hesitate to ask—we would be more than happy to show you exactly how it works so you can enjoy a perfect Italian espresso! It was a true pleasure hosting you both, and we cannot wait to welcome you back to your new favorite spot in Lucca. A Presto,

Really amazing place

Really cool place. The hosts were all nice and helpful. There was some renovations going on that weren’t great if you wanted to sleep in at all, but it’s a great apartment. I’d stay there again.

We were taken aback and fell in love immediately with the apartment and Lucca itself. Amazing service. Amazing location. Cristina could not have been more helpful or attentive.

A real nice place

This is real nice place that appears to have been completely renovated yesterday and in very good taste. The second “bedroom” is an open loft space with a sofa bed above the living room and so does not have complete privacy. Light and sounds easily travel between the two spaces. The location is toward the north section of the city within the city walls. Great restaurants, bars, shops, and grocery stores are within a few minutes walk. If you’re thinking of having a car in this town, forget it!

A Lovely 3 Weeks At Casa Edgar

We liked the helpful and charming Cristina, the central location and the recently renovated apartment's set-up with its attractive appeal. Suggestions: a rack of some kind in the showers for toiletries, more clear instructions for use of the washer/dryer, and, for those staying longer than a week, a change in towels & sheets. Also, while we didn't mind this, there was occasional street noise at late hours [and early hours], which might be an issue for some.

Home with Storage

Casa Edgar delivered in every way possible. A/C was perfect. Kitchen was excellent. Beds were clean and comfortable. Showers were actually big. Even Wi-Fi was fast and easy to use. But! The location on a quiet street was perfect for our week long stay yet still so close to everything. Bike rental just around the corner became part of our morning routine. Yes. We will stay here again!

A great property and management team but noisy front door

I stayed 50 nights at Casa Edgar throw April through June. I fully enjoyed my stay. It's a wonderful property: clean, well-furnished, a modern re-modeled building; cable TV and internet; good location inside the wall in Lucca. It's just missing bathrobes and slippers for the guests! The property management team is good and always accessible via the What's App app. We had a couple of very small communication issues - like where the garbage drop off was located - but both were easily resolved. They are a good team. The only complaint I have has nothing to do with the apartment but instead the building itself. There are about 6 - 8 units in the building and they all use the front door for access. This door is typical of buildings in Lucca as it is large, heavy, and made of wood. Well, it is loud when closed - very loud. So, get used to hearing the door closed. Overall, it is a quiet building (outside the door) and the neighborhood is quiet. Though, there is a school next door so at times you will hear the students come and go. I would rent this property again.

Dear Rex, Thank you so much for sharing your long stay experience at Casa Edgar! We're thrilled to hear that you fully enjoyed your 50-night stay. Your kind words about the property being clean, well-furnished, and modernly remodeled are greatly appreciated. We’re glad you found the location convenient, and that you enjoyed the amenities like cable TV and internet. We appreciate your suggestion about adding bathrobes and slippers; we'll definitely consider this to enhance our guests' comfort. It's wonderful to know that our property management team was accessible and responsive, ensuring any minor issues were swiftly resolved. Regarding the front door noise, we apologize for any inconvenience. We'll look into possible solutions to minimize this disturbance, to alleign the peace and silence considering the quietness of the building and neighborhood. Your willingness to rent Casa Edgar again means a world to us. We look forward to welcoming you back for another delightful stay! A Presto!
