The area boasts great biking, fishing and sailing, bird watching with golf and tennis as well. Historic Newport and Bristol, RI are less than 30 minutes away!

Charlie was a wonderful host and very accommodating; our private suite was spacious, very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished with lots of plants and plenty of snacks and fresh fruit. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and marsh views from our deck; our entire stay was peaceful and quiet and Charlie's home was conveniently located to many great places especially for birdwatching/ We had a memorable visit.

Incredible spot for birdwatching

Amazing warblers and so many great walking trails in this area, in forest and on the shore. Really gorgeous views from the second floor suite, which overlooks a marsh area. The suite is spacious and beautifully furnished, with many thoughtful touches that make it a really special place to stay. The suite is open to a landing with stairs that lead to the house below, but Charlie is very quiet and friendly, and this was no problem during our stay. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect getaway

We had a lovely stay. The view was beautiful, and bed extra comfy! We enjoyed your drive into newport and was nice to get off the beaten path and stay somewhere new. The cutest coffee shop right down the street - Groundswell. Would stay here again!

Great Stay

Stayed one night and really enjoyed staying at Charlie's place. Very accommodating, easy to talk to and we could come and go as we pleased. View from the 2nd floor suite was very nice and bed was comfortable. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get a way for a couple nights and enjoy the RI countryside.

One of the nicest places we have stayed. Location is great, away from hustle and bustle but easy access to Newport and surrounding area. Nice views from balconey. Charlie was a wonderful host. Highly recommend staying here.

Hosts Charlie and Sue couldn't have done more to make this a more comfortable, charming spot to sit and overlook the Sakonnet River Shore. Excellent for bird watching in the marsh grasses and star watching in the night sky ....and we loved the fresh fruit and warm fresh baked muffins that greeted us every morning.

Peaceful Oasis

This property is beautifully maintained, a peaceful oasis off the beaten path! Charlie is so accommodating providing all of the comforts of home. Hot coffee, serene views and a bird sanctuary are just a few of our favorites! A beautiful local winery nearby with Lobster Rolls and gorgeous farm! And stop by Coastal Roasters for scones and coffee on the water! Highly recommend this getaway! We look forward to visiting again!
