Great holiday!

Villa Icaria was a great place to stay with a beautiful pool, fantastic garden and spacious house. The owners were very friendly and took care of the small problems we had immediately so that was very good. We had a great time at this beautiful villa with our whole family!

Beautiful villa and pool

We had a lovely stay at Villa Icaria. It is a huge villa with beautiful decorations and very comfortable beds. The pool is exceptionally clean and well maintained as are the gardens. Carovigno is a lovely small town which comes alive at night. Communication with the owner was easy and informative. Thank you for our stay.

Excellent week

Close enough to Carovigno to walk to a couple of restaurants. We had a pizza chef one night come make dinner. We used the pool all day every day! The weather was glorious and we ate outside. It was ideal for two families with the upstairs downstairs bedrooms. Don’t miss going into the centre of town, very cute old town. Carovigno is close to the sea as well as many other towns!

Amazing home

This is a huge, lovely house. The owner takes meticulous care of the house and surroundings. Each bedroom was enormous with it's own bathroom. You cannot say that any bedroom is better than the next. The pool was wonderful also - long enough so that I could swim laps. The town of Carovigno is charming once you get on top of the hilltop. There are many restaurants to choose from hidden behind the castle walls or down the allies. It is very unspoiled in comparison to the more famous towns in the region. Those other towns are very close by however. I rent homes all the time. This was one of my favorites.

Entering the driveway to the Villa we were immediately impressed by the beauty and elegance of the building and gardens. There were 8 of us but the villa would comfortably accommodate 10 adults. Everything about the place was excellent - it was like our own private oasis. The beds were large and comfortable and each had a lovely ensuite bathroom. The 2 indoor living areas were also great if you needed your own quiet time Outdoors there were plenty of places to sit and relax in the sun or in the shade. Gerardo the owner was very helpful and always responded quickly to any questions we had about the property or the town of Carovigno. The historical center of the town was rather lovely and felt like a community without the overwhelming tourist pressures some other towns seemed to suffer. There are great traditional restaurants in the old town, most within walking distance of the villa. The villa is also ideal as a base for exploring the surrounding Puglia towns and countryside. If we go to Puglia again we would certainly want to stay here and feel happy to recommend to others

Incredible Villa

We pulled up to the villa and it was more beautiful than what it looked in the pictures and the pictures looked very nice. The first night the lower level air was not working and we called the individuals taking care of the property. They were there in 5 minutes and it was a breaker that had tripped. Extremely nice and helpful individuals. It was not clear in the description that you have to pay 100 Euros per day cash if you want the heater turned on for the pool. We were having a pool day and wanted it on. Be sure to tell them at what temperature you want the pool because otherwise it may be set lower than you expect. However, they apologized and allowed us to keep it on longer as a result. Again, very accomodating and super nice!! Everything was extremely clean, there were plenty of dishes, the linens and towels were high quality and the variety of spaces that you could sit were all very charming. There is also a dishwasher and a washing machine that were helpful for our 5 night stay. I would highly recommend this villa as it is beautiful and very safe as you have to enter 2 gates in order to reach the villa. We greatly enjoyed our time and the hosts were most most hospitable.

Wij verbleven met 2 gezinnen (4 volwassenen en 5 kinderen) in villa Icaria. Doordat het huis opgedeeld is in 2 verdiepingen had elk gezin voldoende privacy. De villa is zeer ruim met in elke slaapkamer een aangrenzende badkamer. Alle kamers waren ruim en voorzien van airco. De tuin is heel groot en super goed onderhouden. Ook het zwembad is een pareltje en ruim genoeg voor een grotere groep. Het contact met de eigenaar verliep super vlot, een heel vriendelijke man die altijd bereikbaar was als we een vraag hadden. Hij ging voor ons zelfs in een boom klimmen om wat verse pruimen te plukken . De villa is centraal gelegen en vanaf deze locatie kan je met de auto perfect alle mooie dorpjes bezoeken (Matera, Alberobello, Ostuni, Brindisi..). Een auto is echt wel aan te raden, want in en rond Carovigno valt er niet zoveel te beleven. We hebben er wel zeer lekker ontbeten in Chocolate café en voor een gezellig diner kan je terecht bij Cantinone Coppularossa (pasta Vongole en de pizza’s zijn er super!) en Al Boschetto (gezellig buitenterras). Voor afhaalpizza’s raden we ook wel Bellavista aan (blijkbaar leveren ze ook aan de villa, maar wij zijn ze gaan afhalen). Het mooiste en gezelligste dorpje dat wij ‘s avonds bezocht hebben is Ostuni. Heel veel gezellige straatjes, veel restaurants en heel mooi zicht! Kortom, wij hadden een fantastische vakantie. Nog eens een dikke merci aan Pietro en Mauro om ervoor te zorgen dat alles goed verliep. Wij raden deze villa zeker aan

We had a wonderful stay! Our hosts were communicative and helpful and the property was beautiful. We LOVED the pool and got a lot of use out of it given the heat wave! The rooms were spacious and each room had its own bathroom which was convenient with our group! We were in close proximity to many towns in Puglia (carovigno did not have much going on…lots was closed during midday and Sundays).

We hebben enorm genoten in de prachtige villa. Alles is aanwezig en communicatie met Mauro/Pietro verliep heel soepel.Extra plus punt voor ons was het verwarmde zwembad. Ondanks de koude nachten konden we door de verwarming wel gewoon zwemmen (Al was het nog wel frisjes).1 minpuntje is dat de reservering niet direct via VRBO gaat maar via Buena Onda. Dit liep in het begin niet helemaal soepel en is ff wennen als je altijd via VRBO reserveert. Maar uiteindelijk is alles goed gekomen.Villa Icaria is zeker een aanrader!

Super skøn villa med pool og tæt på hyggelig byliv

Huset rummede alt vi havde behov for.Vi var to ægtepar med vores 6 store børn (23 - 15 år) og hvert dobbelt værelse havde eget bad og toilet. Køkkenet var fint og ude grill området fungerede godt. Der er brug for en bil til at købe mad mm men man kan gå til restauranter i den meget lille hyggelige by - man skal bare op ad bakken og ind i de små gader.Der var liggestole ved poolen til alle og køkkenet var veludstyret og havde en espressomaskine. Kan klart anbefale at bo der.

Perfekte Unterkunft

Wir waren 10 Personen und alle waren begeistert. Jedes Paar hatte 1 Schlafzimmer und ein eigenes Bad. War top sauber. Pietro war stets für unsere Belange online.Echt super. Das einzige was man erwähnen könnte, das die 3 Zimmer im UG nur Oberlichter haben. Wir kommen wieder..
