Bluebonnet is a charming cottage-style tiny house on wheels situated on the banks of the pond at Holiday Acres Christmas Tree Farm. Drink your coffee on the porch, take a walk in the Christmas trees, and experience tiny house living. In the evening, relax by the fire pit and roast some marshmallows.
Cozy, bright, and relaxing are words that will come to mind when you step in the door. Curl up on the full-size futon downstairs or climb up onto the queen-size mattress in the sleeping loft and get comfortable. Cook up a meal using the toaster oven, hot plate, and microwave, then enjoy it out on the porch or at the drop leaf dining table inside.
You are welcome to walk through the Christmas tree field and anywhere on the property. Just don't open any gates or climb any fences.
If you wish to use Holiday Acres as a photo session venue, you will need to reserve that separately.
You'll see all kinds of critters during your visit. Most are friendly, but there are some whose paths you may not want to cross if you venture out for a walk. Be watchful for snakes, snapping turtles, skunks, coyotes, wasps and all kinds of bugs. When walking around outside, watch for stumps, holes in the ground, ant beds, and poison ivy. We recommend wearing long pants and closed toe shoes if you go exploring.
Tiny houses have tiny water heaters. Be prepared for speedy showers!

I spent four peaceful nights there. It is a small and cozy place and I believe it is great for two people. I am not sure if it would be as comfortable for four people.
If you are interested in nature hiking, this place is located only 19 miles away from the beautiful Brazos Bent State Park. I drove there a couple of times during my stay.
All the instructional videos from the owner were quite helpful. Leigh Ann was a good and quick communicator. I will be back definitely!

Mother & Daughter getaway on a Christmas Tree Farm
My 12 year old daughter and I spent a week in the Bluebonnet at Holiday Acres. Everything we needed was provided for a comfortable stay. My daughter enjoyed the view from the loft, overlooking acres of beautiful green Christmas trees. We were a little worried about the smaller hot water tank but we both managed without either of us having a cold shower. The heater kept us nice and toasty the night a cold front came through. Upon arrival the place was clean and decorated tastefully. With the property sitting off the beaten path, mornings and nights were quiet and rather peaceful. Our stay was during peak tree sales so for a few hours in the evening we had the pleasure of seeing families pick out their own Christmas tree. They rode out into the field on hay rides, chose a tree, cut it, then a hayride back to the barn resulted with their tree being wrapped and paid for. Kids enjoyed the farm animals, campfire, jumpin on hay bales and more. Holiday Acres is a very festive place with no shortage of charm. I would have no issue suggesting either tiny house at this location for family and friends. The owners and employees were all very kind and welcoming.

Clean space and very friendly (and longsuffering) hosts
Leigh Ann was so accommodating, in spite of all our needs, she made us feel very welcome! The tiny house is a great little quiet get-away close to the big city. They even made our four-legged family members feel completely at home! Would definitely stay here again, although next time with my wife only as it would be very peaceful and romantic for a couple.

Convenient little slice of home
We absolutely adored BlueBonnet! Holiday acres is a wonderful little farm with the kindest owners! We've never been greeted by our hosts before and we even got a tour. The location was perfect for us since we brought our dog. It was only 15 mins to a very nice park with a dog section. It was only a 30min drive to visit our family in south Houston (tip: turn on avoid toll roads in google maps!). This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in and everything about the home was near perfect! Every last little bluebonnet detail was adorable! We would definitely stay again and definitely recommend it to anyone! Our only suggestions: add a larger mirror above the kitchen table as an added space to get ready, add a dog lead (from the porch) or zip line (between trees) so they are still in line with the leashed policy but can run around outside and spend time when you are outside with more freedom than a leash and add a rug either right inside or outside the door on the porch.
