Charming rustic country house in northern Umbria with exclusive use of pool

On the peaceful slopes of historic Monte Corona, yet within easy reach of the bustling market town of Umbertide, Casa Cappella is set in an idyllic position next to a tiny chapel in a scattered hamlet with views over the Upper Tiber Valley. It has a new private pool (open start June-end Sept). The house and location are perfect for a relaxing, sightseeing or walking holiday. Casa Cappella is stonebuilt and has original oak beams and terracotta floors. The ground floor living area is very spacious, plus there is another 'studio' room upstairs that could be used as a quiet or exercise room (eg yoga), or for board games. There are 3 large bedrooms and a lovely walled garden, it accommodates 6 in comfort (plus some additional beds for children) but is equally suitable for a couple not using the top floor. The garden, with its trees and flowers, can be used for al fresco eating and sunbathing. The adjacent small olive grove/hillside garden has a newly built outdoor pool (available start June-end Sept) for your exclusive use, with terraces and sunbeds. The hills around are covered in oak and chestnut woods, which have trails and paths in many directions. Just 5km down the hill are all amenities and transport. There are great possibilities for sightseeing in Perugia, Assisi, Cortona, Spello and Spoleto, and not too far distant (easy daytrips) are delightful mediaeval & renaissance art towns of Gubbio, Siena & Arezzo. Italy's 4th largest lake, Lago Trasimeno, with watersports, is about 40 minutes drive. There are plenty of opportunities for hill and mountain walking & mountain biking, including from the door, as well in the high Apennines...plus browsing local markets, wineries and eating out. All lettings are Friday to Friday (self-check in and out). We are sorry, but no pets are allowed.
