The apartment had no record of our booking

The property had no record of my booking and couldn’t accommodate us so we had to find somewhere else to stay at 8pm which was expensive and stressful. The property did refund us straight away, however, so I am confused about how they didn’t know of our booking. Obviously never using Stayz again.
