Perfect stay in a peaceful location.

David was an extremely helpful and attentive host offering suggestions for places to eat and what to see on Skye. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, very well appointed and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. The thoughtful welcome pack was also much appreciated. Would not hesitate to stay here again if returning to Skye. Perhaps a little out of the way of the “main” areas to visit on Skye but all the better for that ! Such a peaceful spot.

The view from the Cuil is fabulous and the accomodation is spotless with everything you need. A very comfy bed and great shower. Lovely welcome touches and very friendly hosts.

This place was ideally set up for our visit to the Isle of Skye - the kitchen area was great to make breakfast and a coffee to enjoy on the deck area in the morning, the room was comfy enough to enjoy our time and relax, and the view cannot be beat. The hosts were absolutely amazing and beyond accommodating with recommendations of places to see and dine, and truly cared about our visit.

We had an amazing experience in a stunningly beautiful location in a suite that had everything.

The service by the hosts was amazing from providing directions to suggestion for our visit both coming to, on the isle and leaving the isle. it was great communication. The unit itself is a beautiful hideaway in a quiet location where you can escape all the tourists and yet getting to all of the sites and locations we wanted to see was easy. A great hidden gem on the Isle of Skye.

Amazing experience! The hosts were the nicest most helpful people I’ve ever experienced with a VRBO. The deck and the view were spectacular! I wish we had spent more time there. They gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations also! The unit was very clean and well equipped!

A modern hideaway with a fantastic view.

You feel welcomed and comfortable from the first moment you arrive. David and Frances are lovely hosts who did an amazing job with this appartement: modern, new, fully equipped with all you need for your stay and a cozy bed. But honestly you don’t need much with this awesome view from the patio. Definitely a place to recommend on a Skye trip.

The Cuil is so lovely and homey! We felt like we were right in the beautiful scenery but still had every creature comfort we could want. The place is like the perfect getaway nest for 2! David and Frances were so welcoming, helpful, and kind. We have stayed at another pod on Skye, and Thistles was definitely a step above our experience there! We highly recommend the Sprig, which is one of David's suggestions for local dining. I also loved the selection of books about local rambles that were on hand to help guide our outdoor explorations. You cannot go wrong booking the Cuil!

The stay was one of the best we've had in out travels!

The accommodations were ideally set up to have a cozy stay - kitchen area was perfect for quick breakfasts and making coffee to enjoy on the deck, TV set up for movie nights was great, and we couldn't have asked for a better view! David and Frances were the most gracious hosts, providing suggestions for places to see or dine and truly cared about our stay and experience visiting Scotland. Plus, their pup, Islay, was an adorable 'host' to have as well. :)
