Generally the bungalow was clean, there was a few cobwebs in various rooms but spiders have a job to do too. There was a little wallpaper peeling away but other than that no arguments about the place. The bungalow is tucked away with others, stones throw from the sea and the place was well equipped for four people. Reasonably priced and I'm sure we'll be back in the future thanks David.

This is a lovely little bungalow. Perfect for a visit to the farm, or the nearby beach. It is also great for a stroll along the beach to Watchet. We took the steam train to Dunster castle which was brilliant. Good communication from host and very good price too!

As always a great little spot perfect for a base for whatever local activities interest you and so much close by. We always value the laundry facilities - because of the great British weather Already booked again for next year

The bungalow is well stocked with everything you need and in a great location. Unfortunately it looked like it had been last cleaned a while back and since that time the spiders had had a party! Cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom also needs ripping out and replacing as the smell of mildew was awful

Just got back from spending a couple of days at this bungalow . My husband and I along with two children found this property spacious and cosy. The little extras of books, milk, condiments and towels was a nice touch. Our son loved the farm animals in the field next door and at the free farm across the road. The neighbours are amazing especially the ones at court farm who helped us out massively. The beach is a short walk away and there is a water fountain about a minutes drive from bungalow but the pathway is very steep so if you have mobility issues maybe find another way down if possible. We would love to return to this property again put would like to stay longer next time .
We had just stripped the beds before we left hence the reason there is no bedding on when I took the photos
Don’t know why I didn’t take a photo of livingroom

We had read the description and the reviews so we knew what to expect and the bungalow met our expectations. It was warm and comfortable throughout the week allowing us to fully enjoy our days out and our evenings relaxing. We visited some of our favourite places on Exmoor, Lynton and Lynmouth, Street and Ham Wall, Minehead and Bossington as well as discovering new places close by like Staple Plantation and the Quantocks. It is fair to say that the bungalow is not the height of luxury but it suited us very well and we would have no hesitation in booking again.

Upon arrival I noted that the kitchen bin hadn't been emptied. I emptied this in the outside bin. I could not find any bin liners to refit. When checking the bedding, I noticed that the linen on the double bed did not look freshly made. Also, there were cups left on the draining boar. I contacted the property cleaner. They advised that they had not cleaned the property as they were advised that my arrival was the following day. The cleaner arrived within the hour to clean. In the meantime the property owner contacted me to apologise. I booked this property on the basis that no pets were permitted. However it was evident that a dog had been in the property as hairs could be spotted around the property. The cleaner took the doormat away for me as this was covered in dog hair. The onsite guide confirms that pets are permitted. The property description must be updated. I would have never had booked this if I had known but I just made do and tolerated it. The property is in a very tired condition. Most worryingly, there are ceramic wall tiles lifting above the shower head height in the bathroom. I would have thought this would have required immediate attention. There are many other that could be raised. I would not describe it as home from home. I was very disappointed and it does not rate highly with previous properties booked with VRBO.

Great place to get away from the World (But not too far)

Came here for a short stay. The bungalow was clean on arrival and all the necessaties of a home away from home facilities were in place (large fridge/freezer), cooker, TV/Wifi, shower etc and worked as expected. The bungalow was very warm and the heating a little hard to work out how to adjust to get it cooler but with the large patio door it wasn't such a problem. The place does look a little dated with some older styled furntiure but it was all comfy and for the price I have no complaints. You do need a car to get about really Watchet is a lovely community with great pubs and food and the East Quay art centre is something all towns should be jealous of. I did pop over to the farm shop but felt the choice there wasn't great but perhaps I was just being fussy. I would happily book again for 2025.

Don’t hesitate!

We felt lucky to find this bungalow. With only one review, we were hesitant, but Vrbo confirmed past bookings and we’re so glad we went ahead. It was a perfect last-minute choice. The location is excellent: walking distance to Doniford Beach, a short drive to Watchet and Helwell, and just 10–15 minutes to Kilve Beach, where we had an unforgettable walk among surreal rock formations and cliffs. Fossil hunting there was a highlight. The bungalow itself is solid, quiet, and well soundproofed. Not at all like a creaky caravan. It’s spacious, spotless, and comfortably furnished in a retro style, not dated! Everything worked well, kitchen, bathroom, beds. The washing machine was especially handy after muddy walks. No dishwasher, but not an issue for a short stay.It was a bit cold on arrival (likely just cleaned), but the hosts quickly brought an extra radiator, and it warmed up fast. They were kind and helpful, reliable and prompt, even if not instantly responsive after booking. We felt safe, rested, and at ease. The area is peaceful, with quiet neighbours and a calming atmosphere. Now that we know it, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. A great base for exploring the coast, and we’ll definitely be back at this bungalow when we will visit the area again.
