Why they chose this property
Brackenthwaite Holidays is set within 9-acres of its own private land in the Arnside and Silverdale designated National Landscape area.
Leighton Beck runs alongside the perimeter of the site attracting migrating birds, deer and other wildlife to the area.
To the east there are views of Farleton Knott, which is a superb place for walkers to visit as it offers some stunning views over Morecambe Bay and is home to some of the best natural Limestone Pavements in the country. To the west you will see Coniston Old Man and the hills of The Lake District beyond. This offers a superb backdrop against the setting sun.
Although set in a rural area on the outskirts of Arnside and Silverdale villages, Brackenthwaite Holidays is also close enough to the A6 and M6 roads for easy driving to Kendal and Lake Windermere in the north, and the historic City of Lancaster and Morecambe town in the south, as well and being within easy reach of The Forest of Bowland AONB or even Manchester for a city visit.
From the site you will find lots of activities to keep you entertained including walking and hiking, cycling, sailing, kayaking and other water sports, golf, and RSPB Leighton Moss for bird and wildlife watching. You could even take in the grandeur of our local historic buildings and gardens. You certainly wont be short of things to you and we provide all our visitors with plenty of options prior and during their stay with us.

What makes this property unique
Corner Cottage has been furnished to offer high levels of comfort and style, while Brackenthwaite Holidays itself offers a wonderfully unique rural experience that will be a particular hit with children and adults alike.
Within the 9-acres of private grounds you will find resident hens and duck, the two geese: Lucy and Juicy, pet lambs and goats, as well as white doves and visiting barn swallows that come to next and raise their young during April and September every year. We may even have horses on site too as Brackenthwaite welcomes people 'holidaying with their horses'.
We have a dedicated enclosed exercise area for dogs and a play area for families with a kick about area and other outdoor games. But, rest assured, even with all this Brackenthwaite Holidays is still an escape from chaos and stress, and is a wonderful place to rest and unwind.
So, whether you intend to spend most of your time out in the local area or relaxing onsite, there is plenty to keep you all comfortable and entertained.
