Take a turn off the main roads in Southeast Cornwall, within a couple of minutes you will feel like the rest of the world does not exist when you arrive at this very special Barn Conversion, behind private entry gates, to discover a little slice of unspoiled rural heaven to escape too and make your own. Plenty of parking in the enclosed plot, featuring a lovely covered terrace area and an idyllic garden area with a swing seat. The magical house itself is full of stonework, beams, a wood burner and simply oozing character, flooded with light from the skylights and housing everything that you will need in a fitted kitchen for a comfortable stay.
The property is split into two main areas, the living area is open plan and the large patio doors bring the outside world in on a sunny day or make a cosy space to relax with a wood burner during the colder months in this centrally heated barn. Head through the stone archway to access the bedroom area with an en-suite shower room servicing the bedroom which houses a four-poster bed. There is wardrobe space for your stay and light again streaming in from the skylights.
The rolling farmland countryside gives some great places to visit, St Erney peninsula, fronting onto the River Lynher, and the golden sandy beaches of Whitsand Bay are a short drive away. If you are a golfer you will have to decide on which is your favourite course the world-renowned St Mellion, the spectacular cliff course at Portwrinkle, or China Fleet Country Club with leisure facilities and Spa. The fishing village of Looe is a great day out, both picturesque and featuring some lovely independent boutiques to dip in and out of. Help yourself to Fish and chips or a Pasty and admire the beach as you tuck in.
Dartmoor National Park and Bodmin Moor offer some lovely walks and cycling trails, Adrenaline Valley is a fun day out for the more adventurous, the go-carts are fast! A scenic car journey will bring you to Polperro Model Village, where you can view the enchanting model village and learn of the myths and legends in the area, this quirky attraction has been popular with tourists for over sixty years. The stunning National trust properties of Cotehele and Lanhydrock are within easy reach. Wherever your adventures take you, if you can bear to leave your haven from the world, this is one special spot to come and enjoy.
