The area has an abundance of wonderful restaurant's offering Portuguese and international cuisine. There's also a good atmosphere in the evening with a good mix of lounge and chill out bars with street entertainers and stalls in the square as well as late night clubs and karaoke bars on the famous Bar Street. There's plenty of clothing and gift shops around with a nearby supermarket stocking all the essentials. This place is on the door step to everything but far enough away to ensure a quiet and peaceful stay.
The townhouse has a private front door and is located up a staircase in a private enclosed building. On entrance you are greeted with bright, spacious and modern spaces, with cotemporary Portuguese finishes. There are two main beaches in Albufeira - "Fishermans beach" (Praia dos Pescadores) which offers a selection of water sports and is overlooked by some fabulous fish restaurants. Adjoining Fishermans beach is Albufeira beach (Praia do Túnel), slightly to the west through the tunnel which is near to the apartment. There are more bars and restaurants here and steps down to the wonderfully clean beach
As you are staying in the center it isn't necessary to hire a car. Local bus services, taxi's and even Tuc Tuc's which can be found at the top of the escalator, can ferry you west to Albufeira Strip or east down to the wonderful marina if you seek a change of scenery.
