A week's stay at The Walnut

A lovely warm welcome from the hosts, they couldn't have been more helpful and then were very discreet for the rest of our stay (they live on site). The accommodation was very well equipped for humans and dogs, both inside and out. The dog paddock was great especially if your dog doesn't go off lead on walks. Some lovely walks, beaches and woods all in a short drive. Some nearby pubs and cafes to eat at too. We saw plenty of wildlife, deer, several birds of prey and seals along the coast and beaches. We would highly recommend The Walnut as a great place to stay with or without the dog.

A relaxing break at the walnut

Really lovely 2 bed bungalow, everything you need for a lovely break with your furry friends. The paddock is great to let the dogs play. Our setter pup made friends with guests in the two other properties dogs..

The Walnut

This was the second time we stayed at the Walnut and we had a wonderful time. The owners helped us to settle our rescue dog in and provided us with extra rugs so he could walk around. The hot tub was lovely and we enjoyed the views of open fields whilst we sat in it - we saw deers a couple of times. The dogs loved the secure field. The inside of the cottage is set out well. We took the dogs to cart gap beach and happisburgh beach which are fairly close although due to one of dogs being an older lady we drove there. We look forward to visiting the Walnut again

A weeks holiday with some friends

We had a great week, the cottage was very clean and a nice welcome pack to greet us on arrival. This was our second visit to the cottage, we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Great cottage and location.

A warm welcome and a comfortable stay

We had a lovely stay a the Walnut. A warm welcome from the owners on arrival and cottage was lovely, comfortable and cosy. We had beautiful weather for our stay and took advantage of the lovely patio. Dogs loved the paddock.

Wonderful holiday

We had an absolutely brilliant holiday at The Walnut. The property had everything we needed, owners are lovely, facilities perfect for us and our young Labrador. Easy driving distance to the beach and Broads. We couldn’t have asked for any more!

Lovely cottage and hosts!

A lovely cottage that is beautifully appointed in a wonderfully peaceful location. Paul and Stella are friendly, helpful, but not intrusive. We were blessed with marvellous weather and had a very relaxing break!

Perfect Break

Perfect for a dog staycation

The Walnut is a little gem. Everything is provided for both humans and dogs. It’s warm, comfortable and well equipped. The location is perfect for country and beach walks and we did both every day - a great way to wear our 9 month old puppy out!

A great week at The Walnut

A lovely week in this gorgeous dog friendly home. Beautifully designed and spacious, friendly hosts, great paddock for the dog to run around in, in between trips to the beach and the woods. Location of fab, great access to all of the north Norfolk beaches, cafes and towns with great facilities. Addition of the hot tub was a real treat! Will stay again, either at the Walnut or Peanut or Bumblebee who are in the same location.

Fabulous!

Fabulous cottage, warm welcome from the owners, crates and beds for the dogs. Basket of lovely treats, amazing view from the hot tub. Quiet location, saw seals from the local beach and hares on our walk to the dog friendly pub. Would love to go back.

A Wonderful Stay

What a wonderful hideaway from the world! From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The Walnut is immaculate, fresh and so welcoming. It had everything we needed for a peaceful, relaxing stay. Our pups loved the paddock and time on the beach. Dog toys, treats, towels and the outdoor dog wash were wonderful! We all came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. A great getaway with the pups!

Incredible

We had such an incredible stay at Walnut Cottage it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, Paul and Stella made us feel so welcome; their warmth and hospitality instantly created a relaxed, home from home atmosphere. The cottage itself was beautiful, cosy, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the absolute highlights was the hot tub looking over the countryside there’s nothing better than unwinding in it after a day out, surrounded by such peaceful surroundings. Everything about our visit felt special, from the thoughtful touches throughout the cottage to the genuine friendliness of our hosts. It’s rare to find somewhere that feels this inviting and relaxing. We genuinely didn’t want to leave and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

The Walnut

This is an Amazing dog friendly property. Decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. Lovely paddock for the dogs to have a run and play in. The Hot Tub was brilliant we used it every day. Lots of different Beaches close by, shops and food take aways a short drive away. We had our 4 dogs it was perfect for them, would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous 2nd stay

Dogs and I loved it so much the first time, we decided to return with the husband, My collie obviously remembered it as he went straight to the basket where the dog toys are kept and demand barked for it to be opened! Fabulous beach walk in the morning, walk to a dog friendly pub for lunch followed by afternoon in hot tub over looking the fields.

Wonderful week at The Walnut

Everything was perfect and well thought out. Paul and Stella had provided everything needed for our dogs stay, bowls, towels, throws, bed toys and best of all biscuits ! For us a comfy lounge, well equipped kitchen, lovely shower, and the best bed ! We loved the hot tub especially after our walks of which there are many. We loved the local beaches Cart Gap, Happisburgh and Sea Palling. The area was a peaceful retreat. We will be returning !

Perfect place for a retreat with your dogs.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cosy Walnut cottage. Stella and Paul had thought of everything make you feel so welcome, like the generous welcome hamper and toweling robes. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and gazing at the beautiful views. Buster and Tom loved their runs around the paddock which is totally safe for them. If the dogs could they’d definitely be booking again soon and we’d love to return too. I would book again and recommend to friends.

Best Holiday

Everything was perfect, everything is to a very high standard, spotlessly clean, everything was provided, beautiful hamper, lovely surprise anniversary gift. Loved cooking with the AGA . Sharing the paddock with the other guests was good and wasn’t a problem. The hot tub was a bonus and we used it a lot, so peaceful looking at the views. We can’t wait to go back. The owners made you feel so welcome .

Another little bit of heaven!

We normally stay in Bumblebee on the same site but needed extra space. Walnut is charming and very well equipped. There’s been thought put into the decor, equipment and finish. It’s spotlessly clean and its location for beach and countryside walks is perfect. The owners are on site, friendly and discreet. They take a real pride in the place and providing the perfect holiday environment. We will be back, that’s the truth! Back to bumblebee in November!!

Short stay at The Walnut

Absolutely stunning property. Extremely comfortable. Everything was to an extremely high spec. Beautiful views. Very dog friendly with a wonderful and very well kept paddock to walk the dogs around. The Welcome Pack was AMAZING!!! The owners Paul and Stella, so lovely and welcoming. Amazing location being so close to the sea. Very easy to find but more difficult to leave, as we didn’t want to go home.

Wonderful Walnut

This was our second stay at The Walnut and this time we came as a large family group, booking the new Peanut & Bumblebee cottages as well. Lovely, generous welcome pack on arrival with special touches for my niece's birthday which was much appreciated. The hot tub is amazing with wonderful views across the fields. We were lucky enough to see the owl, hares and deer. Well equipped kitchen and the whole cottage was very clean. Great location to visit all the nearby beaches and quiet walks from the door. The owners are on site and very friendly and helpful. Thank you for another lovely holiday.

WOW: Wonderful Outstanding World-class!

This was the first holiday with our dog, (15 months old) and we loved The Walnut as soon as we stepped inside the door. It was so welcoming with everything provided and to such a high standard. Our dog gave it a full examination by exploring every room, and when she curled up and settled on the mat in the living room we knew it was the right place to be. The Walnut has been beyond our expectations; one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and over the years we have stayed in quite a few. From the hamper full of delicious goodies tailored to our dietary needs, and the well equipped kitchen to the comfortable beds, we couldn’t ask for anything more. Everything had been thought of but more was to come, when our hosts Paul and Stella, went above and beyond during a mini heatwave and an unexpected power cut to ensure that we were not inconvenienced and continued to enjoy our stay. The Walnut is the most peaceful place in beautiful surroundings. Our hosts, the cottage and even the weather have all been perfect. A very big thank you to Paul and Stella for a lovely relaxing stay at The Walnut. We will definitely return!!
