THE HOUSE:
A luxury villa that sleeps up to 20 people, located in the beautiful mountainous landscape of the Granada Altiplano.

The estate, spanning more than 2.5 hectares, is situated in a private setting and is the ideal starting point for immersing yourself in Andalusian culture. Whether you rent the villa with family, friends, or coworkers, no one will be bored here.

Casa Lua is a modern and spacious holiday home. From the terrace, you can see a sloping mountainous landscape with low shrubs, olive trees, almond trees, various fruit trees, and our vegetable garden. Casa Lua can accommodate up to 20 people. There are 10 double bedrooms with king-size beds (which can also be converted to twin beds, as you prefer), each with its own en suite bathroom! We also have 3 children’s beds and 3 cots available. These beds can be added as extra beds in the rooms.
What makes it unique is that 7 of the rooms are located in the mountains. These cave-like rooms are spacious, high-ceilinged, and whitewashed, featuring modern natural elements. They also provide natural cooling in the summer, so we don’t need air conditioning. The 3 rooms in the main house are equipped with air conditioning.

The ground floor of Casa Lua features a fully equipped open kitchen, including a wine cooler, large refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, and bar. The kitchen is very spacious and equipped with enough supplies to cook for twenty people. From the kitchen, you can see into the large living room, which features a cosy sitting area, a fireplace, a smart TV, and a dining table.

Through the four-meter-wide sliding glass doors, you step out onto the porch, which features a seating area, TV, and dining table. The porch extends onto the terrace, complete with lounge chairs next to the outdoor pool (heated if needed), a hot tub, and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue. Here you can spend wonderful evenings enjoying the beautiful views.

SPA
In the cave area, you’ll find a heated indoor pool, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, and Turkish bath. To make the most of the good weather, the house has all the necessary amenities, including several terraces in the sun and/or shade with a dining table, seating area, lounge chairs, and a parasol.

SURROUNDINGS
Thanks to its strategic location, we have views of the white village of Galera. It’s 1 km away and can be reached on foot in 12 minutes. There you’ll find all the services you need. We’re secluded, but not isolated.

In Galera, you’ll find a small museum, as well as several archaeological sites and even an ancient cave castle where the bones of Europe’s earliest inhabitants have been discovered. Galera is part of the “First Settlers of Europe” hiking trail, which passes through six villages.

The town of Huéscar is 7 km away and offers numerous amenities, such as dozens of bars and restaurants, several supermarkets, butcher shops, bakeries, clothing stores, and more. And Fuencaliente is a special spot—a natural pool that stays around 18 degrees all year round.

The natural landscape of this region is so diverse that you’ll go from one surprise to the next. From almond trees in bloom to a reservoir with crystal-clear water, passing through a large forest. And all within less than an hour.

EVENTS
We have experience organising events and activities. For example, lunches/dinners, organising events/parties, organising activities, and we have many contacts in the area. So if you need more than just a place to stay, we can and would love to organise it for you.
We also organise small weddings and corporate events for up to 100 people. Anything is possible, so please ask us about your options.

As for catering, we work with several local chefs. We offer everything from traditional Spanish meals (including tapas) and paellas to Asian-themed nights, pizza parties, or barbecues. Ask for our list of standard options and prices. You can mix, remove, or add anything. Everything we do is custom-made.
And as we mentioned earlier, if you’d like to do any activities, we can also help you organise them—from a wine tasting at a winery to a flamenco or yoga workshop on the terrace or hiking in nature. There are also many historical and cultural tours available.

We’ll be happy to assist you with whatever you need during your stay—from making a reservation at one of the restaurants to arranging for bread delivery to your door or advising you on the beautiful natural surroundings you can explore.

THE CLIMATE
The weather in southern Spain is very pleasant between March and October. Summers here are hot, but since we live at a higher elevation, the nights and mornings are cool. Sometimes the temperature difference between day and night can be as much as 20 degrees. There isn’t much humidity. Plus, part of our house is built into a cave, which provides natural cooling in the summer. Most of the bedrooms are located there, so you’ll sleep well even in the summer (without air conditioning).
You won’t get bored at Casa Lua in the winter. We have an in-house spa with a heated pool, 3 saunas, a steam room, and an outdoor hot tub. The house has a good heating system, a lovely fireplace, and the “dining room” area is also a pleasant space to spend time. Not to mention, of course, the long, sunny days.
