Pigeon House in the Hills
We stayed for 3 nights. Great views from top of street, but this apt is on a walk only street with stairs (Le Scale) and the walk down to the waterfront is quite long, maybe 20 minutes - all down hill. Be careful as the walk back up takes a lot of stamina. Great if you want to live like and amongst the locals, but high up the hill. The pigeons though - need to get rid of them and clean the pigeon poop off the patio, stairs, walkways and keep away from windows. Although there are good views from the balcony - we kept windows and doors closed the whole time because pigeons would want to come inside, and they made a lot of noise at night and early morning. Apt was ok clean, not spotless. Need more seating than one sofa. Although owner said the bathroom was renovated “recently”, mold in shower corners and no toilet seat says it’s been a while since that update. Again, good place if you want to live like the locals. Good communication from staff on needs.
