From my home, you can explore a region where Italian, German, and Slavic cultures blend together. A melting pot that never overwhelms you. And there are great connections by train, bus, plane, and—yes—if you want to drive down here yourself. If you’re the active type: paradise. If you prefer a more laid-back pace: perfect, too. And the food and drink—oh yes...
