We had a great time during our weekend stay. The resort was very peaceful and has a lovely little coffee shop as well as other amenities that we didn't get round to using. The place was very clean and neat and the check-in and out was easy via a lockbox. The beds are very small (can't be helped given the size of the caravan), we did have 5 adults staying but even the shortest of us on the stay had their feet hanging off the edge - aside from the size they are comfortable enough to manage a night or two. The hot tub was great and looked clean and there were plenty of towels provided. Overall a very cosy and pleasant stay and would recommend for a couple of nights away.

This property has several issues I think are important to note before you book. First, the location of the property on the listing is incorrect. You cannot walk to St. Andrew’s from this property. The home is about a 15-20 minute drive outside of St. Andrews and there are no sidewalks on the country road connecting the property to the city. The listing is false and inaccurate with regards to location. Second, the property is extremely cramped and small. The house is a mobile home with an extremely tight hallway and miniature bedrooms. You cannot walk from the living room to the master bedroom unless all the bathroom and secondary bedroom doors are closed. Additionally, the mattresses are absolutely tiny and uncomfortable. You can feel the metal springs poking through the thin mattress toppers and stick into your back as you lay down. Furthermore, the walls are so thin you can hear someone breathing at night in the room next to you. Third, the property owner requires you to pay a deposit on check-in through a third party website outside of Vrbo. Not sure if this practice is allowed by Vrbo policy and I felt uneasy transferring 200 using a website I’d never heard of outside the protections of Vrbo’s guarantees. Other than that, if you’re ok with needing to drive into the city, getting cozy in shoebox sized bedrooms, and connecting your bank accounts to a new website - you’re gonna love your stay here

Overall, this property was clean, comfortable, and as advertised. However, it is not a 3 minute walk to the University of St. Andrews, as proclaimed. It is not convenient to St. Andrews unless you have a car. It is a 15 minute drive or taxi to town. It is a 20 minute bus ride. In fact, the caravan is in the town of Cameron, which is 5 miles from St. Andrews, and there is no way to walk into town as there are no sidewalks. In short, if you want to stay out in the countryside away from the crowds of St. Andrews, and you have a car, it is a nice spot. If not, and if you are going to settle or visit a student at the university, this isn’t the place for you.
