Our wooden Pipowagen was built at the end of 2018, and since early 2019 it has been situated in a beautiful spot on the grounds of Bed & Stee Lheebroekerzand.
The Pipowagen is constructed entirely of wood and insulated with natural materials. The door and windows are double-glazed. The Pipowagen is heated electrically (IR panels) and uses the energy generated by our solar panels. The Pipo is connected to the water supply and is provided with hot water via an electric water heater.
The Pipo has two French doors that open onto a beautiful patch of yard, bordering almost directly on the Dwingelderveld forest.
The Pipo has been furnished with care, love, and attention to detail, designed to create a pleasant place where you can truly unwind.
Pipo is situated on the edge of the Dwingelderveld National Park, with its 37 km² of forest, heathland, and ponds. It’s a beautiful area to explore on foot, by bike, or on horseback. The Dwingelderveld National Park is a protected Natura 2000 area.
The neighbouring village of Dwingeloo boasts the most beautiful village green in Drenthe, a stunning onion-domed tower, and a tree-lined centre with charming farmhouses. In Dwingeloo, you’ll find a variety of restaurants and can enjoy several cosy outdoor cafes.
Just 9 km from our Bed & Stee is the recreational lake: Het Blauwe Meer. Here, you can take a refreshing dip in the blue water. Het Blauwe Meer is managed by Natuurmonumenten and is beautifully situated in the heart of nature. During the summer months, there’s a kiosk selling fries and ice cream.
The Pipowagen accommodates 2 people. The couch in the living area is a sleeper sofa, so there’s room for a third person if needed. (Sofa bed mattress dimensions: 200 x 80 cm).
Pets are not allowed in the Pipowagen.
