A weekend break for two friends. Fabulous accommodation, beautiful cottage that has been renovated to a high standard. Lovely to see that some of the brick interior has been retained. Great underfloor heating and wood burner. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were nicely done too. Small niggle, the push down plugs in the wash hand basins didn't seal properly so it was hard to fill the bowl to wash your face. We laughed a lot over our missing the cutlery drawer which is a hidden compartment in a drawer under the hob.
To help future guests - the map/directions were wrong, they take you to the Royal Oak. In demand on street parking would be a more realistic description than onsite parking. I sent a last minute message to say we were 4 guests instead of 3 but heard nothing back. Beds remained as doubles when my filter specifically said we needed 3 beds. No extra sheets could be found to make up singles so one guest used the bed runner as a sheet. Apart from above the property was excellent in every other way. Well decorated, great facilities, great location, great price and of a standard that suited our group. I would definitely recommend it.
