Absolutely PERFECT home in the magical Cotswalds! Easy check-in—including parking!—made our afternoon a breeze. Beds for everyone, and such comfortable beds they were! The back yard was an oasis we enjoyed for hours, sipping wine, enjoying the hot tub, smelling the flowers from the gorgeous garden, and watching to incredible stars. We walked to dinner but could easily have cooked for ourselves in the well-stocked kitchen. Clear instructions on the particulars of the house made it easy for us to navigate different appliances/plumbing/etc. Overall such a relaxing retreat, truly a home away from home. When we’re next in the area, we will absolutely hope to stay here again!!

About the host

Hello, my name is Charlotte and I would like to thank you for visiting this page. I'm very fortunate to live in the local area, near to Tansie House, along with my two daughters, our dog Otti and our cat Banjo. I love nothing more than making people happy and putting a smile on their faces...this is why I love hosting so much. I strive to make each guests stay nothing short than exceptional and I'm always happy to help in anyway I can.

Why they chose this property

Named after my families' parcel of land and vineyard situated on the hill above the house, the name and the door knocker (a bunch of grapes) is a nod towards the wider family business and a place to gather and retreat to when needed. Located in the ancient Saxon town of Winchcombe the house boasts an enviable position in a popular and convenient location, less than a quarter of a mile from local shops and amenities and close to open countryside. The town boasts an excellent range of day-to-day facilities including independent shops, inns, restaurants and coffee shops. Not far from the Regency Spa town of Cheltenham, with all of its artsy undercurrent, renowned shopping and side street eateries and of course all of its well known festivals, including the National Hunt racing at the famous Prestbury Park race course. Winchcome is the perfect place in which to explore the cotswolds, including the popular town of Broadway just down the road. Beautiful rolling countryside is all around, offering endless walking, riding and cycling opportunities and there are golf courses at nearby Cleeve Hill and Broadway.

What makes this property unique

Bought in 2023, this handsome Cotswold House (built in circa 1890) has been lovingly restored and curated into a beautiful homestay with a snug-luxe aesthetic and modern country feel. There were so many features about the house which made me and my family fall in love with it, but the superb location coupled with its unique cotswold charm and potential to curate it into something truly special were key. Above all else, I wanted to create a welcoming shelter that would pamper guests throughout the year and especially in the winter months.
