Heartland Country Resort Lodge - For All Your Special Family Gatherings

Heartland Country Resort is an upscale country resort located in the heart of Ohio. We have a scenic country setting with hills, streams, and woodlands on a 10 acre farm. This rate includes rental of the main Lodge only with 4 queen beds and a queen sofa bed upstairs and a queen bed on the main level, (Sleeps up to 12 Adults). There is also a large family room, huge dining area and fully equipped kitchen.
Whether you want to relax indoors or enjoy the farm fresh air outdoors, the fun awaits you. We also have a 2 person hot tub on our patio for adult relaxation. Enjoy unlimited access to our friendly critters at the petting zoo and horse barn. Weather permitting, take a dip in the pond, go for a spin in the paddle boat or enjoy some catch and release fishing. Additional amenities include our Hearty Country Style Breakfast, and relaxing massages to make your stay even more special. (Massages and breakfast must be booked in advance and are provided at an additional cost)

Family gathering

Wonderful place for family gatherings. My children loved the small petting zoo. The Host were the kindest people I think I’ve ever met. Such a nice place to get family time.

Women's Retreat

It was wonderful getting to spend time at Laurie and Jim's. We thought the place was a wonderful place for our 24 ladies. The kitchen was well-equipped, the cabins were clean, and the animals were a hoot. Thanks for a great stay!

Family Friendly Fun

Jim and Laurie were very friendly and answered our questions promptly!! The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and inviting . The accommodations were very clean and exceeded our expectations. We paid extra for breakfast, which was well worth the cost!! Simply delicious!

Family Christmas

My daughter, her family and myself stayed at the lodge over the Christmas holiday. It was a wonderful experience. The lodge itself was beautiful and the petting zoo was a huge hit with my grandchildren. The animals were so friendly and the hands down winner was Humphrey the camel. If you like animals and the "country" life you will love this place.

Fun Country Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Heartland so much! The owners were super friendly and allowed our kids to help feed the animals. There is also a swimming pond and fire pit on the property that we used. The accommodations were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make large family meals. We loved sitting out on the porch watching the animals and enjoying our meals and the company of extended family we were with. It was also within a short drive to Mt Gilead State Park where you can fish, kayak, and picnic. Our kids cried when they had to say goodbye to the animals and are already begging to make this an annual family getaway!

Great Family Getaway

Our extended family had the privilege to stay at Heartland for the Thanksgiving weekend. From the prompt & helpful communication with the hosts, to the comfortable accommodations, to the fun petting zoo, everything about this experience was wonderful. We would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a quiet getaway & place to build memories. Definitely above & beyond a 5 star rating!!

Vacation stay with heart!

This is the first place we have stayed at through VRBO that was completely clean, organized, well equipped, friendly and had extra small touches to make you feel comfortable! The rolling hills, streams, farm animals, on site petting zoo and natural landscape make for a little piece of Heaven right here in the heart of Ohio. We also have a swimming and fishing pond, large picnic pavilion, outdoor fire pit, gas grill, quiet and peaceful location.
