Lund House consists of a kitchen/diner with two ovens, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, dining seating for 12 people, and Smart TV, along with a sitting room with electric fire and Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of two king-size with en-suite shower rooms, a double, a second-floor king-size, second-floor double, and second-floor twin, with a Smart TV in each bedroom, serviced by a bathroom, cloakroom, and second-floor shower room. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with patio, gravelled area, and hot tub, along with off-road parking for three cars. Travel cot and highchair available. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. You'll find a shop in 0.2 miles, pub in 0.4 miles, lake in 1.1 miles, river in 0.3 miles, beach in 1.5 miles, and canal in 0.3 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are all inc. in rent. Lund House is a pleasant base for a Cumbria escape. Note: Additional pets welcome with a 50 GBP pet charge.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
