A lovely property, welcoming and kind host and a place I'd stay at again.

Even during a hot summer and drought in England, the location was beautiful. Tucked away near Ramsey, the accommodation is perfect for peace and quiet. Only a ten-minute drive from a nearby Tesco, it is conveniently located. The host was incredibly friendly and lovely to chat with if there were any issues, he was more than happy to help and resolve them.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay, especially if you like peace & quiet. Beautiful setting on an island, lots of wildlife & ducks on the water. Clean & comfortable accommodation & pretty much everything you need is supplied.

Kevin and carly

Had a amazing, and relaxing stay. Tony the owner is a top bloke makes you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. A great and interesting person to talk too. Will be recommending to a lot of freinds and definitely be visiting again. There was a couple of things I suggested to tony was the microwave was too small to fit a dinner plate in and would of loved a couple of sun loungers. I bet on next visit there be a new microwave. Hope to see you soon.

An unexpected delight tucked away!

The property was tucked away and in a beautiful location. We made great use of the lakes and explored on paddle board and kayak, launching from just by the parking area and front door to the property. Very convenient!

What an amazing place

This is a lovely place and the surroundings are beautiful. On a little island in the middle of nowhere, loads of wildlife to enjoy, so peaceful and the apartment is spacious and comfortable. The owners are really nice people and very helpful. Highly recommended for a stress free getaway. The only improvements would be the addition of a cooker/hob and a washing machine. There is a microwave and airfryer but we found this limiting as not used to this type of cooking.

Outstanding - what an absolute delight this place is.

What an absolute delight this place is. The setting of the accommodation in the middle of the lakes and trees with all its wildlife is wonderful. Oscar and his father were lovely and very interesting people, who looked after us very well. Set amongst lakes and trees in an island of wildness amongst the agricultural landscape of the Cambridgeshire fens. There are paths to walk around and enjoy real tranquility. We were lucky to be there in spring with baby ducks, goslings and moorhens and many birds singing and deer and rabbits frolicking about, but the setting would be lovely any time of year. Oscar met us and made us very welcome and he and his father were around whenever we needed to ask anything. Lovely people to chat to and hear the amazing history of the place. Very clean and well looked after. The accommodation is a really well done conversion of the upper floor of a garage block. It is really nice and unusual and spacious. The bedrooms are a good size and the open plan living area very comfortable. The one thing I would recommend for the place would be to add a cooker with a hob to cook on. Whilst we mastered cooking meals with the air fryer and microwave, we would have preferred to e.g. boil our vegetables in a pan. Maybe we should just get with the times as we managed easily enough, but it is the one thing we didn't find perfect. One of our reasons for booking was the relatively low cost (along with it was just where we wanted to be), but we were amazed at the value of the place once we got there.
