The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults. We all stayed in the main house, but could have used the well appointed casita if we wanted to. While it is new, the house incorporates elements of the earlier (historic) structure/settlement that was on the site. We enjoyed some lazy afternoons around the pool and evening cocktails watching the sunset. The view of the pink and purple flowers along the driveway, the olive trees, and the early grape vines was lovely. The house is well located for exploring Crete. It is close to the main road that takes you to Chania or Heraklion and there are lots of little shops for food, wine, and snacks in the village. The owners left a home made spinach and cheese pie for us and some Raki as part of the 'welcome' to the house and were very responsive to questions and queries, especially when one part of our group was locked out :)
