Light and cosy with excellent views

A welcoming cosy and warm bothy and well kitted out, a perfect space for watching the changing weather and colours reflected in the waters of the loch, plus set in great location for exploring.

Beautiful place, everything in the cottage we need.

Nice place, clean cottage, only thing was that charging our car was not possible, despite good help from the owner. Nice reataurant nearby. Perfect sight on the loch, with multiple seals in sight.

We will be back soon!

We started discovering Appin on our way back to Edinburgh and two nights, in this very charming place, were definitively not enough! We much appreciated our Bothie and all the ideas enthusiastically provided by our hosts to discover the region. We could do only two among tens. We will come back!

Quiet retreat

Perfect for our (too) short stay. The bothy is nicely situated with pretty views of the loch. Accommodation is well equipped, comfortably furnished and gave an extremely cosy escape from the foul weather outside. Will definitely return and recommend.

Perfect accommodation in a stunning location

Stayed for 3 nights in this gorgeous modern Bothy, everything you need for your stay is provided, the bed is so comfortable , loved waking up to the stunning loch view from the full length window/door directly facing the bedroom area, and the lovely bathroom has a fab shower. The outside area is spacious and perfect for just sitting ( or relaxing in the hammock!) taking in the fabulous views. I can 100% recommend Appin Holiday Homes and the kind owners Jim & Julie

A magical stay on the loch. Peaceful, remote, and perfectly comfortable...

What an incredible stay at this bothy! From the very start, communication was excellent; everything was clear, friendly, and easy to follow, which made the arrival process a breeze, despite the remote location. The bothy itself is beautifully set up with simple but very comfortable décor, a thoughtfully snug layout, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The bed is comfy, the space was perfectly clean, and everything felt well-maintained. Just a heads-up: if you’re arriving late, be sure to stock up on basics on your way in, as this place is wonderfully remote. However, the local Inn is under a 5 minute walk away for lunch or an evening meal on the waterside, and the ground coffee and French press were a welcome touch in the morning. I was here on a work trip, so I’ll mention that the light from the window above the main door comes through quite early, so if you're sensitive, an eye mask might help. That said, if you’re on holiday, waking up gently with the morning light feels like a gift, not a problem. The location is the pièce de résistance, truly breathtaking. Right on the edge of the loch, nestled in peaceful surroundings and nature, it was impossible not to unwind (even if it was just moments between working on my laptop; Wi-Fi and phone signal were both great). I went for a swim in the loch the evening I arrived, and it was the perfect way to decompress and immediately slip into a slower, more grounded rhythm. I would highly recommend this Bothy if you're looking for a remote Highland escape with all the self-catering comforts thoughtfully covered. I'd return in a heartbeat for leisure, to take time to walk and absorb the magical landscape.

Small, but nice!

Small cabin, with everything you need and enough space for 2 adults. Very clean, we gave 4 out of 5, only because there were footsteps of dirt in the showercabin, but that was easy to clean. The park's atmosphere is not very cosy, but we didn't spend much time on the park, we were out and about most of the time, and for the evenings, the cabin makes up for it!
