This is a lovely place to stay, a hidden gem. My only comment would be that we did object to some banging the door and trying to get in at 8:30 this morning. Then as we wouod packing up to leave at around half 10, the same bloke was sat leaning against the front window. Told us he was waiting to clean the place! Him aside we enjoyed our stay

This old, rambly house been carefully decorated and well furnished with period and curious furniture. Our room was generously large, welcoming, clean and comfortable. But our stay was marred by lack of staffing. There was nobody there to show you anything or deal with an emergency. Instructions spoke of the joys of having breakfast in bed, but the surfaces were not suited to the mechanjcs of preparation. The food itself was left outside your room some time the previous afternoon and was past its best at the time of eating.
